Brown for MVP?
Sneaking suspicion if Tatum finishes with 30 they shoehorn him into it.
Weakest MVP in a while but moreso Boston just being a much for complete team.

Re: Brown for MVP?
Stop with your anti-Duke charade. If Tatum didn't go to Duke; he would be a shoe-in for FMVP.
Tatum and Brown are averaing the same PPG, Tatum is dwarfing him in rebounds and assists. Tatum leads the whole team in points, rebounds and assists.

Up until right now Tatum is shooting 37.4% from the field and 27.8% from three for the series. Jaylen Brown 45.7% from field, 24.2% from three.
Not sure if anyone has ever won the Finals MVP with such inefficient shooting numbers as Tatum?

Weird attempt at making it agenda driven.
Brown has been clesrly the better defender.
He has heaps better efficiency. Tatum's is historically low.
Probably means nothing if all you do is look at box scores though.

Who deservers the Finals MVP? (2024 Finals)
There isn't a clear FMVP in this year's Finals. Just wondering whom you thought should be Finals MVP?

Im a Duke fan and think coach k is the greatest coach of all time. While also telling everyone cam reddish was gonna be Paul George when he got drafted. It's also a big reason i refuse to put jaylen johnson in trades for Atlanta because i think he will be the best player on the hawks team in a few years with his current trajectory and skill. Even with all that said and being a big duke homer i still think Brown has made a bigger impact on the finals than Tatum has and think Brown deserves it. He has been more efficient, a better defender, and imo came up in bigger moments when needed.
God i wish the Hawks could have pulled the trigger somehow to get him the last few years or so when he was thought to be available.

If you remove the recency bias from this game, Brown has been the better and more efficient player overall. Tatum still shooting less than 40% from the field over the series.

I'm confident if you compare statlines it would be Tatum. I'd like to see Jrue win as a personal favorite though.

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.
Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

Yeah Brown while not being flashy has been effective on both sides of the ball. And certainly the most consistent. I think Holiday deserves consideration as well. He just had an awful game 4, which Tatum did too, so that shouldn't take things away from him.

I maybe wrong but Tatum may have the better all around numbers.

In my eyes, Brown, and Holiday. Holiday's been that roving defender who's been disruptive. Tatum's defense has been iffy and he's been targeted by Mavs in other games.
