Coming into this game, the Celtics were only 22-13 (57-8 otherwise) when taking less than 44% of their shots from 3. Only 11-13 when making 33% of their 3s or less.

They only took 43.8% of their shots from 3, shot 33% from 3, and still got the most important win of the season.

I have to eat crow on Joe Mazulla before I do anything else. He was dreadful in the playoffs in year 1, but he really improved a lot and held his own this year.

I hope we didn’t **** our next couple of years throwing KP out there for 15 minutes. I’m not sure he gave us way more than Tillman would have, but I guess he does a lot more for our spacing even when he’s hobbled.

I love that we got this one against such a crybaby in Luka, our most recent nemesis in Kyrie, and a nemesis of the past in the wife-beater.

Has Cave called this a fake championship or Jaylen a fake finals MVP yet?

16-3 in our last 19 games. Is that good?

Honestly, so many emotions, just plain relief among the biggest. This was not a team of destiny or lightning in a bottle, this was as hard-won a championship as it gets starting from Billy King' folly, overcoming obstacles and heartbreaks feeling like two steps forward one step back and sometimes the other way around. It was hilarious to see Joe at the end just walk over calmly and shake hands like it was a January game in Charlotte. All in a day's work, it's always been the vibe from our baby-faced 4-D chess god Brad on down. Everyone just did their job without fanfare or egos from the front office to the coaches to the starters to the bench on down to the 15th man. What a team, what an organization.

Jaylen MVP... amazing. Lesser guys would have turtled after his epic fail last year, instead he does what he's always done and quietly went back to work and improved. Dude deserves it so much, he's never had Tatum's innate hoops brilliance but I've never seen anyone relentlessly turn weaknesses into strengths like this guy. If you saw him stumble around at Cal as I did, not in a million years could I have imagined this would be his future. Shout out to Danny the Architecht for seeing what a lot of guys didn't. Now Jaylen holds the trophy with his left hand and then passes it to his teammate smoothly, yep. Keep working, Jaylen.

But really, you could have given the MVP to JT or even Jrue and even DWhite had MVP-level stretches. Tatum was 100% our overall playoffs MVP. That just shows the sort of team we have, it's never been about one guy this year and that's why we are champions. Couldn't be prouder of all these guys.

Man, crazy night! Finally getting a chance to post. Loved the mindset all game tonight. Jrue was amazing, he kept us composed early and just never stopped moving. Hauser was unbelievable. Pritchard just kinda ridiculous at this point, lol. KP was gimpy, but game. White chipped the parquet with his teeth. Al is just a stud and JB & JT made it all happen. Banner 18, baby!

Haven't posted here in a while, but I just want to say how proud I am of this Celtics team and everyone on this board for riding with them through all the ups and downs (and man, those ups and downs really took years off our lives, didn't they?). I love you all, and I'm just so happy that everyone here is happy now that we've finally brought home Banner 18.

I'm just overcome with emotion thinking about how the Jays are finally champions. No duo has ever deserved it more; they improved every year, were class acts all the way, and stuck together even though everyone kept trying to pull them apart. At the precipice of their first title, they both stepped up and finally delivered us to the promised land.

And one final thing: JAYLEN MOTHER-EFFIN' BROWN. He never let all the detractors derail his progress and focus, worked his ass off to become a deadly weapon and clutch player even after getting that historic contract, and now he's the ECF and Finals MVP. My son just humiliated all the doubters and haters, from both Celtic and other fanbases alike. I'd say eat crow, but I'm just too caught up in euphoria to wish anyone any ill will. Just know that even if this is only his first title, my boy Jaylen has nothing more to prove.

I still can't believe it. THE BOSTON CELTICS ARE CHAMPIONS AGAIN. I'VE BEEN WAITING 16 YEARS TO SAY THIS AGAIN, AND MY GOD IT FEELS SO, SO GOOD. WOOOOOOOOOOOO
