Delicious irony how many Mavs fans insisted their team only be judged on some arbitrary 8 week sample when their team was at its best, so they could talk the most smack.

Then their team got absolutely smacked full strength by a team that was short handed.

Per CTG, the Mavs were 9-29 when they had an Offensive Rating below 113.0. 54-12 otherwise.

Six of the 29 losses were dealt by the Celtics.

Coming into the series, I wanted to match up against the Mavs as opposed to the Wolves since I had faith in our ability to defend the Mavs more than our ability to score against the Wolves. We just had the right personnel to match up against their best players and they had no one to really punish us from our "weakest position" (KP injured, Al up there in age).

Special shoutout to JB on his onball defense against Luka and to Jrue on his onball defense against Kyrie even though it was a team effort to slow those guys down.

Nobody is entirely from LA anyway. E.g., I lived there until age 14 -- but technically I was born in Chicago.

The LA Dodgers are absolutely a continuation of the Brooklyn Dodgers. So why shouldn't the LA Lakers be a continuation of the Minneapolis Lakers as well?

The Thunder are a continuation of the SuperSonics, but nobody would say they have a championship.
