I had 20/20 vision my whole life and then now have an astigmatism in each eye. They will not due lasik unless the curvature of the eye is static for 3 consecutive years.

Lasik thins the cornea so it is pointless to do if the curve of the eye will be altered and you won't be able to see again in 12 months.

If that’s his normal, correction might be the bigger risk.

Though I’d totally rock the prescription goggles.

Between goggles or contacts he should have options, and even if he wouldn't shoot better you'd think he'd see the court better. Scorers often play with a degree of tunnel vision, but I can't see how it wouldn't help him.

What makes you think he doesn't wear contacts?

Oh? You hadn't heard about that?

"I'm very blind, I'll tell you that. I can't see but I don't wear contacts during the game. I just guess. I tried contacts in the pre-season and I shot like 26 percent from the field."

I guess I found my reason, he tried it once and he had a crappy shooting game.

No, I didn't hear, that's wild. I wonder how bad his vision is.

I can't see far away but in a pinch I've had to drive without them. I can still see cars and people, traffic lights, shapes of signs etc.

It is just kind of fuzzy. I wonder if it's the same for him.

When you squint it helps distort the shape of the eye so you can technically see better, wonder if he does that.

Well, they can start negotiating with Okoro and Bates now.

And it they were waiting for the finals were over to talk to some final candidate and/or not distract from the finals, perhaps they'll make some progress on hiring a coach.

Has Bates earned anything other than a camp invite?

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

It's not about what they've done, it's about what you think they might do, how confident you are that they can get there, and how badly you want to retain exclusive rights to that outcome.

On the surface, it looks bad. He's still rail thin and while he looks at times like he could dominate the g-league, his season averages ended up pretty poor. In other words, on the surface not much has changed for him since college.

But no other team has worked with him to the extent our coaching staff has. They should know first hand how much he actually paid attention to their suggestions, whether he followed through, and whether they got the result they were expecting. They should understand some things we really don't, like is his feel for the game legit? Or is he forever wired to be a street baller who's best skill is creating tough shots for himself?

I assume they still extend him the QO. If he gets an offer sheet too rich for the Cavs blood, just let him walk.
