Quite a few said they don't trust this Celtics team heading into the playoffs.

Cs were unbeaten in the clutch this postseason.

You can trust them now.

4 chips in 8 years will be good enough for me.

And it's time Cs repeat because last time that happened was back in the 1960s.

One very random observation, I remember back in 2008 the first commercial after we won was a Ray Allen Jordan commercial. Of course this year it was a Tatum Jordan commercial. I am guessing they pay a ton for their athlete to get that spot.

Wasn't that a satisfying prelude to summer league? I hope all four of the Maine men play along with the guy they select early in the second round after Brad moves back from the 30th pick.

I hope we didn’t **** our next couple of years throwing KP out there for 15 minutes. I’m not sure he gave us way more than Tillman would have, but I guess he does a lot more for our spacing even when he’s hobbled.

I love that we got this one against such a crybaby in Luka, our most recent nemesis in Kyrie, and a nemesis of the past in the wife-beater.

Has Cave called this a fake championship or Jaylen a fake finals MVP yet?

Cave's still grieving being so wrong.

Al Horford holds the record for most playoff games before winning a title: 186
Tatum and Brown hold the record for most playoff games as a duo before winning a title: 107

Brad Stevens never quit on them even amidst the endless calls to break them up. Even salvaged Horford back from NBA hell (Philly) and purgatory (OKC).

I still can’t believe KP played, I was sure it was just a smoke screen and that he was done. While he wasn’t as good as game 1/2, I think psychologically he deflated the Mavs, and took them out of their rhythm. What a gutsy contribution.

Besides that, all I’ve got are tears of joy.

TBF they started super early. Most of the duos that didn’t weren’t reaching the conference finals in they’re rookie years.

2nd round pick?

Cs unlikely to use their 1st rnd pick.

Why is that?

Haven`t been on this site for a year...

Just wanted to say: Congrats to the Celtics! Well deserved!

Super happy! Was worth waking up in the middle of the night to finally win another ring! It has been a long time since 2008!

And congrats to all the Realgm Celtic community!

Two reasons: To save on the tax burden. Also because, unless I'm mistaken, Brad Stevens has never used a first round pick. So far he always trades out or trades back.

Cs are a 2nd apron team.

A 1st rnd pick is very expensive for a 2nd apron team.

Some thoughts a day later:

Porzingis wasn't himself, but even while hobbled, his length forced a good 4 misses.

Kristaps being on the court in pain lent some urgency to the proceedings. If I can be out here, the rest of you can give your best effort. I think it had some psychological/emotional benefits.

Kyrie slinking away early was hilarious. He really couldn't wait to get his vacation started. He set this group back 2 years with his selfishness, and beating his very team to overcome that setback was truly cathartic.

These guys overall just represented the Celtics badge so damn well. Jaylen going up there and shouting out Jayson like that. The parade of guys talking about how they did it together. They didn't just win, they won like Celtics. That's the best part.

**** bag Kyrie will NEVER live down stomping on lucky and then getting his ass handed to him in the finals by the same guys he abandoned. What a story of redemption for the jays
