Gobert/Reid/???
Towns/Anderson/Miller
McDaniels/Harris/Minott
Edwards/NAW/Moore + Clarke
Conley/Morris/???

Draft Holmes and Dillon Jones

For starters dump Moore as there are probably 100 free agents out there I'd take over him. 8-)

Harris is better than Moore, but I prefer Luke Kennard if you want a shooter.

Kennard or even bringing Beasley back would be better than Harris.

Extend Gobert? Ish. I’d much rather dump his carcass rather than watch Dallas run a layup train on his head again.

Naz was much worse. He is even a worse defender than KAT.

Here's the plus/minus stats for the entire playoffs of our three top bigs:

Rudy--- Plus 95
KAT ---Plus 18
Naz-- Negative 23.

I will be all over it if either Kennard, Reggie Bullock Jr or Beasley accepts min.deal.

Minnesota got cooked because Rudy Gobert would come up to help and all of his teammates were too incompetent to put a body on his man, allowing for infinite lobs.

Or were too small...Conley.

Isn't this the reason Kat got benched?

After unfollowing the Warriors on Instagram, several posters are suggesting that Klay Thompson is leaving the Warriors, and name the Wolves as a likely target.

I admit I haven’t watched much Warriors basketball since he came back, but is he so far gone that he’s a vet min player?

No

It’s interesting to hear Klay’s name this week. Ten years ago, the Wolves and Warriors had a deal set up that would trade Kevin Love to GSW for Klay Thompson (24). It was killed though by none other than Jerry West, who threatened to quit the Warriors if they traded away Klay.

I would love having Klay...but not understanding how it would work?

Someone will way overpay him because of his name and shooting numbers.

But he’s become a very streaky shooter, his defense has fallen off a cliff since his injuries and he doesn’t contribute to winning.

I have zero interest in paying Klay what he is seeking. He wants a big contract and some sucker will probably pay him that. Even Golden State may move on. Orlando has the most buzz as his destination and they got money to burn so if they offer Klay $25 million he'll be there.

Agreed. The wolves have a tendency to get players they could've had initially way too late in their career. While it sounds good on paper, I would prob prefer to steer clear.

We don’t have to worry about overpaying a free agent, because we literally have no CBA mechanism to do it.

Our additions would be bringing back our own players with Bird rights, draft picks, vet min deals. No cap space, MLE, tMLE or BAE.

Trades aren’t off the table, but are very restricted. We can’t take back a player with greater value. We can’t aggregate salaries to make a deal work. We can’t use last year’s TPE’s. We can’t acquire a player in a sign-and-trade. We can’t include cash, and we can’t include our pick 7 years out.

In one hour, 11:01 PM CDT, teams are allowed to renegotiate with their own free agents.

Expect to hear that several players are extending, maybe even Gobert.

Is it correct that Gobert is signed through next year. Extension would mean he opt out of his 46m 2025-2026.
I think he signs a 3 to 4 year deal starting 2025-2026 season with something like 30M a year for 4 years.

You’re right, and I apologize - I should have been more clear.

Gobert is making $44 mil next year regardless. He could choose to waive his 2025-26 $47 mil player option.

As for extensions, basically any deal of three or more years can be extended after the two year anniversary of the signing.

I think something starting around 32-35 is realistic.
