Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
If this was wrestling, Jayson Tatum is the handpicked guy of the company that gets the full marketing machine behind. Jaylen Brown is the charisma-vacuum workrate guy that puts on good matches but only the internet nerds care about.

Comfortably the worst NBA finals of the past two decades in terms of watchability or suspense.
Unfortunately, nobody is going to care about that 2, 5, 10 years down the line.

That's actually not true at all. Through out history people look at Chips and their value. KD's greatness is still called into question when you consider the fact that he needed to join a super team. You can do that with plenty of champions.

Nuggets with the easiest path to the chip, with the Celtics right behind them.

Interesting that 4 of the last 5 champions are on that list.

You cannot compare KD ring chasing to a homegrown talent like Tatum organically winning one. That just reeks of sour grapes.
What other non mercenary championships are people devaluing?
Its funny, if Embiid had won you’d be be on the GB ready to call him the GOAT and telling everyone to stick it.

So he copied KG's "anything is possible" scream, then follows it up with Kanye's "I guess we'll never know" Grammy speech. Seems like he's right for the times. Nothing is original anymore.

Shouldn't you be on the Celtics board? Never seen a more fake Sixers fan.

Embiid the goat no, best player in the world yes. And it would be rightly so. Because Embiid is not Jayson Tatum. Tatum could only dream to be on his level, offensively, defensively, and on sheer talent. Only thing he has on him is the fact that he has an actual team around him, and isn't injury prone.
FYI Embiid has the highest PER and ppg average in the entire playoffs.

It's actually a bit shocking that Tatum didn't get the MVP, as the NBA always somehow finds a way to glorify their 'chosen' players, even when they don't necessarily deserve it. Hell, the NFL has done it forever as well.

Re: NBA Playoffs Thread
Y'all I hate Boston as much as anyone but like it or not, they won the chip. Not much we as Sixers fans can do about it except hope that Morey is able to put together a roster that can legit challenge them and win a title next season.
