Celtics were only 9-13 in the regular season when they shot below 34% from 3. They went 5-1 in the playoffs.
Ok. All that stuff I said last summer and earlier in the reg season about our 3Pr and how I wanted is to get it lower and how I said we may want to bring in a different coach who doesn't emphasize the 3 ball so much (considering we don't have Steph and Klay).
I was wrong.
Glad to be wrong
It seems like our 3Pr was just right. The key is having the players who can shoot. All 8 of our rotation guys can shoot. And our coaches/development staff do a good job of developing our guys shooting ability.
-Grant Williams went from poor shooter in college to elite shooter in Boston
-white went from meh shooter in NBA (and often times afraid to shoot when he first got here) to elite in Boston
-Al improved as a shooter during his time in Boston
-Jrue was a good shooter, but he came to Boston and became *the best* corner 3 pt shooter in the league
-JB and Tatum (especially JB) were not very good shooters coming out of college..both improved as shooters in Boston
