I think he signs a 3 to 4 year deal starting 2025-2026 season with something like 30M a year for 4 years.
I think something starting around 32-35 is realistic.
I'd be worried about extending Rudy for more than three (3) years unless the 4th year is a Team Option. I would expect we get something done with a deal that averages around $35M per year.
He had a special season and keeps himself in great shape which would lessen the concern on a 4-year extension.

Well we need to incentivize him to not take his 2025-2026 Option. Rudy is due 47 Million in 2025-2026. The entire premise he will "take 30 Million AAV" is laughable [Per TimberKat] as that's a 35% pay cut in 2025-2026.
Here is what to expect, under the following premise:
1) Gobert wants to be in Minnesota
2) The cap is going up ~10% AAV
3) Gobert wants his 47 Million
Have Rudy decline his Player Option and give him a deal which
ends at his player option amount of 47 Million. This is exactly what Jrue Holiday did this year. Jrue Holiday declined a 37 Million Player Option for 2024-2025 and instead extended for 4 years and moved that player option to the end of his new extension.
Rudy's potential Extension:
2025-2026: 36.9 Million (23.8% of Cap) 155 170.6 187.7 206.4
2026-2027: 39.8 Million (23.3% of Cap)
2027-2028: 43.0 Million (22.9% of Cap)
2028-2029: 46.5 Million (22.5% of Cap)
You could also shorten it and really give him just 2 more years after 2025-2026.
2025-2026: 39.8 Million (25.6% of Cap)
2026-2027: 43.0 Million (25.2% of Cap)
2027-2028: 46.5 Million (24.8% of Cap)
There are a lot of possibilities with Rudy Gobert, but it is very obvious if this team wishes to keep most of the core intact, it needs to avoid the 2nd Apron in 2025-2026, and in order to do that, restructuring and extending Rudy's contract makes a ton of sense.
Now, maybe the evaluation on Rudy is really closer to 35 Million AAV, which means he is taking a 12 Million paycut in 2025-2026. Extend that 12 Million over 3 years at 4 Million per year.
2025-2026: 39 Million (25.6% of Cap)
2026-2027: 39 Million (22.9% of Cap)
2027-2028: 39 Million (20.1% of Cap)
I think something like this [or similarly starting lower and going up to 43-44 Million] is probably in line with what both sides want. But remember, it is Rudy with the bargaining power here since he has the Player Option of 47 Million.
