KNICKS didn't trade for OG for him to be a rental -- especially with Leon's son being OG's agent.

The parameters of a continuation were worked out in advance. That's the advantage of the POBO and the player's agent having the same last name.

This is called creating intrigue so fans continue to click and watch for potential drama (AKA 'Knicks For Clicks').

Even IF a better offer came up for OG, does anybody truly believe Leon's son would let OG accept it without first informing his own father??

That's the advantage of having the biggest agency in sports also running your franchise. Inside intel. Nothing to see here.

Yeah I would have to see it be reported he is leaving for me to believe it. The thing is most casual fans don't know any of this CAA stuff so this creates intrigue. Also lowkey it creates acceptance of the massive contract that honestly..... I don't know OG deserves based on his production.

This. Only this. There is no way they traded for OG, giving up two young rotational players for him, with his agent being the president's son, only for him to walk. Knicks for clicks on day 1 of the offseason is hardly surprising. The Knicks might not have won many games up until recently, but they'll always be the champions of offseason rumors.

I'm all for trading Mitch out for a 3&D 6'8 swingman and then using part of the MLE to sign Looney to back iHart up. Shift that money to a position of need...

This made me laugh. :D

But on the real, you're not worried about his injury history?

Yeah I know this, but it’s wrong. Especially when they pair him with Collins. Are you worried about Randle’s?

I mean, answer the question.

And why would I be worried about Randle's health? His injury this season was a fluke. Lauri has never played more than 70 games, 65 games twice, and about 3 or 4 50 game seasons. I'll take Randle's availability.

Honestly I don’t know if that’s really a thing. I wouldn’t want to miss out on such a player. It isn’t going to happen anyway, but Paul George or Embiid are players that are nice to have too … obviously Lauri isn’t in their league, but he’s a great player and fit. It’s okay though, I’m cool with Randle too.

Pacers have a magic cap that can afford Siakam, OG, Turner, Hali?

Even if Siakam goes elsewhere, they would not have much more to offer OG than his current offer unless they start selling off everything else. Not confident they want to use those four (basically at 130M with 3 and no Turner) to fly into the new big tax.

It will be an interesting off-season and I think teams are going to be more frugal with FA contract. Expectation is for contracts like Lavine to be aggregated with assets and so on.

Zero chance OG leaves. It's Knicks for Clicks. But also, front office/agent probably seeding things to avoid tampering charges. Siakam is getting that max from Indiana.

Definitely not zero chance. Sure would suck to lose him after trading IQ and that other guy for him.

I wonder if anyone will make a play at IQ.

Mid-season = If Giannis wants out, does Randle, OG, Mitch and picks do it for us? (assuming we keep Ihart and Precious and draft a rookie center backup?).

Time to come back to forum. That OG rumor was not what I wanted to see.

Why wouldn't they trade him out the conferance? The Rockets and Thunder could give better packages.... Maybe even the pelicans.

Idk just think the window for star chasing should be closed. The team is at a place they should be taking steps to go all in. OG was the big trade. They sent RJ and IQ out. The Knicks FO knows way more than me, but don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good enough.
