Randle
was an AllStar. Not sure if that’s happening again. No team should be trading for what he
was, but for what he has left. And he’s coming off of surgery.
It was a freak, non-career threatening injury, and it seems like Randle is going to be fine:

(Indeed, Randle's reputation for poor playoff performance is at least partly due to trying to play through injury in the past.) That said, Randle's in no way a big liability--he's just 29, a 3-time all-star with only two years left on a reasonable contract--why pay to dump him now? Unlike last fall (when he was apparently still injured to start the season and started slowly), Randle should be completely recovered before the next season starts. Paired with Brunson, Donte, Hart, OG (hopefully), etc., a healthy Randle should do quite well--to the point that we either want to keep him or can trade him for more than we can get now. And if not...keep him until he's an expiring contract (and worth more because of it).
RIP magnumt--you're literally why I'm still here on these boards.
RIP The Hater--keep up the good fight in the great beyond.
