Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Darvin Returns
Mann has definitely fallen into that extremely overrated 3&D guy camp in the past (the Caruso, RoCo, Avery Bradley tier), but I think a lot of that had to do with this weird discourse around the Clippers constantly treating him as "untouchable". Again, not sure that would be the case anymore considering they're at a crossroads with their roster and salary situation. They've all but backed themselves into a corner having to extend Harden and PG, Zubac will need a pay raise after this year, and they're still on the hook for Powell at $19 and $20 mil the next two seasons. It's a numbers game, and getting a quality frontcourt player/starter plus a draft asset for Mann might be their best course of action to upgrade the roster. I think Amir Coffey emerging as a really solid wing for them also makes Mann more expendable.

Skills coach Drew Hanlen works with Giannis Antetokounmpo in Greece
The Journal Sentinel originally reported June 11 that noted skills instructor Drew Hanlen headed to Greece to work out with Bucks players, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, on their annual sojourn to Athens. MarJon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr. and Chris Livingston were part of the contingent of players.
Hanlen returned to the United States on Monday as Antetokounmpo joined the Greek national team for its Olympic qualifying preparation.
Hanlen played at Belmont University from 2008-12 before becoming a skills development coach.
The 34-year-old founded Pure Sweat Basketball, which includes not only basketball training but coaching and scouting services. The company has a Wisconsin-based coach in Ben Edelburg.
Hanlen counts Oshkosh native and Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton as a client, as well as Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum. Hanlen was at Game 5 of the NBA Finals and celebrated the Celtics’ title with Tatum.
During Rivers’ time as the 76ers head coach, Hanlen trained MVP Joel Embiid as a full-time client and added Tyrese Maxey to his client roster. Maxey earned his first all-star berth last season.

Shame!
If he cares most about winning, which is all he has ever said, thats the destination.. plus, he probably would get less criticism asking for OKC vs someone like Miami or whoever.
Theres also Utah and New Orleans.
We will have none of our first round picks until 2032 at that point. Taking back a massive pile of picks is the move
Dude no, those picks aren’t even good. A certifiable poo poo platter. Also last I checked they do plenty of winning in LA & Miami, its delusional to think anybody is asking to go to OKC or Utah. Trading Giannis would be stupid and a disaster, this isn’t 2K.

Bucks need a better defender than Mann. He's already playing the role on the Clips he'd have with the Bucks. Much rather have Thybulle, Caruso, Dort, etc.

We need a good two-way SG who's a proven playoff riser. Mann is exactly that. Thybulle isn't.

I don’t think trading for Mann, or moody for that matter, would preclude us from also getting thybulle.
JRoy has mentioned that he’d be interested in 33 if Portland cuts significant salary in a deal for thybulle.
An Orlando fan posted a trade proposal a month ago of brook for WCJ, Anthony, and two 2nds. Cut out Anthony and drop a 2nd.
Mke in (in two deals, but I’m consolidating here): Mann, thybulle, WCJ, 47, future 2nd
Mke out: brook, bobby, 33
Lac in: bobby
Lac out: Mann, 47, additional salary to comply with the second apron
Por in: 33
Por out: thybulle
Orl in: brook
Orl out: WCJ, future 2nd
If you’d prefer to keep brook, you could probably find a pat, marjon, 33 route for thybulle in a 3 teamer.
I think you could go small with:
Dame, Thybulle, Mann, Khris, Giannis

I just like the fact that Giannis is trying to get better. I don't care if it's Hakeem, this guy or Fotis training him.

Who are realistic targets to send Brook too? OKC is going to grab Hartenstein, GSW doesn’t have cap room or trade flexibility. I want to take a center at 23 and then see what we can get for Brook.

I think Okc, mem, nop, Lal, sac, hou, orl, and gsw would all have varying degrees of interest in brook.
Honestly, it may be half the league, but some just won’t have any interesting pieces to give up (phx). The reason I think there may be that many is that most teams are trying to compete, and brook still is quite good at what he does with a rare skillset.

It’s possible Thybulle gets moved. I’m more inclined to believe it will be Simons. I certainly hope that is true.
MT provides a skill set not otherwise on the roster and Simons can’t play with either Sharpe or Scoot.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas - Darvin Returns
In KOC's Hidden Gems column:
Bruce Brown Jr., Raptors wing
Contract: One year, $23 million team option
Brown is a former Hidden Gem who won a title and now belongs in the Proven Veteran category. League sources expect the Raptors to pick up Brown’s option this summer and then look to trade him, which comes as no surprise considering he will be 28 next season and the Raptors are rebuilding. Brown is a super versatile defender, a tone-setter, a rebounder, and a scrappy do-it-all maestro on offense. Every team should want Bruce Brown.
Dream fit: Milwaukee. There are rumblings that the Bucks would like to play a more versatile style of defense next season, which raises the question of whether Brook Lopez has a future there. Trading Brook Lopez for Brown is a perfect match of salaries, and then the Raptors could flip Lopez elsewhere. The amount of screening and cutting Brown could do in support of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard would be glorious to watch.

It would be a pretty good fit. I think I’d prefer Wiggins and a pick for Lopez if that was on the table or something around Steve Adams, but not a bad fallback option

Could easily see the Bucks moving #23 and Lopez for Brown.

Gross. There shouldn't be any need for us to throw a 1st in here. They'd be flipping Brook to a 3rd team for another draft asset, and there's no way that Bruce Brown is worth multiple 1st round picks.

Bucks would have to throw in some kind legit asset for them to give up the more valuable piece. Brown's worth more than Lopez. Otherwise they'll just flip Brown to a team that'll give them an asset they actually want.

Lopez is worth more than Brown after last year. BB had a down year & Raptors can use Brook in another deal, ala Jrue last year.
Raptors should have to throw an asset in, if anyone.

Agree. Toronto couldn't get a 1st for Brown at the deadline, and I doubt they do better than 2-2nds now, if that, because of that contract.
I'm not a Lopez guy but I'd bet he's with more than Brown.
