Clark has a very limited game. She has no 2-point game whatsoever, except for layups. No pullup, no floater, no turnaround. Nothing. She also has no pump fakes. None at all. With every layup, her goal is to get to the rim before the defender. She never, ever hesitates, draws the defender in the air, and then jumps into the defender's body to get the automatic foul call. She also doesn't know how to stop once she has beaten a defender, to force a foul from the defender from behind.
For the 2-point game, she could watch pretty much any NBA guard, and for the pump fakes and stops, Trae, Jimmy, and Brunson would be excellent role models. But there are of course others.
Clark's current offensive repertoire consists of five things -
1) Creating and making her own 3-point shot
2) Beating defenders off the dribble
3) Outlet passes
4) Pick & roll
5) Finding teammates in the half court when pressed/swarmed
It's to her credit that she had made it this far relying so heavily on a few tricks, but if she is to be an all-time WNBA great -- as opposed to just another All Star, which is already the level that she is at (or almost so, will be soon enough) -- she will need to expand her game, quite considerably.
