Rockets trade Jalen Green, Adams, #3
Rockets receive Okongwu, Murray
Atlanta is not giving up Murray without getting something more valuable back, thus Green and #3. Adams is a straight swap with Okongwu.
Miami trades Herro, #15
Miami receives Adams, Green
Cost savings from Herro's contract, get a backup for Adebayo. Both on 1-year deals so either resign or let go at end of year.
Spurs trade Graham, Collins, #4, Hawks 25 FRP, Hawks 27 FRP
Spurs receive Young
Spurs send off #4 in this draft and return the Hawks' FRPs (except for swaps) for Young. Spurs get a running mate for Wemby, retain defensive players to cover for Young.
Hawks trade Murray, Okongwu and Young
Hawks receive Herro, Collins, Graham, #3 #4, #15, and 25/27 FRPs returned.
Hawks go ahead and bite the rebuild bullet and build around Herro/Johnson. At #1 they take Sarr, #3 and #4 they take 2 of Topic/Castle/Buzelis/Clingan/Knecht and at #15 either Ware/da Silva/Salaun. Sure it is a weak draft, but if Atlanta can get the role players in this draft and to put around Johnson and still have salary cap room to absorb some overpriced players while adding assets, why not do it now rather than spin in purgatory.
Go for a complete rebuild with tradeable pieces in Capela, Hunter and Bogdanovich.
Posters on the Spurs board rumored the Hawks asking price for Young was Vessell & 5 FRP's.
