You've got all the money in the world and you've just won the title. If the only thing these grown men want is women and parties, maybe a nuclear war between superpowers wouldn't be such a bad thing.

What the hell do you think rich single young man wanna do? They wanna good weather, good nightlife, party, and women for fun. They just won NBA title.

Win in Boston, celebrate in Miami.

Not even the most hardcore Boston homer is going to argue that Boston is more fun to party in than Miami.

I hope they have time to stop by Pat Reilly's house and show off the trophy

This might be something teams do the day after every title, but its the first time i remember hearing about it.

Sounds like you've never been to Miami... or maybe you've never been to Boston.

Pretty much this. Boston and San Francisco are probably the two cities that under-perform the most for nightlife. And they're pretty similar cities in a lot of respects so it makes sense.

As someone who just had a bachelor party in Miami a couple weeks ago, I can attest that there is no place on earth like it. But lets not act like the Celtics don't have an ulterior motive, they're obviously rubbing salt all over their rivals wound.

During his playing days with the Celtics, Kevin Garnett owned a house in Miami.

What would you suggest they do?

Celts have already been back in Boston since yesterday just as an update. Partied in Miami for one night and flew home. Parade tomorrow morning.

Boston is a superior city to Miami but Miami has things to offer than Boston can’t match. Nightlife being one…

Elevate themselves culturally and/or intellectually? US is a pretty big country. There are things to see beyond Miami.

Plus, it was Juneteenth yesterday. Plenty of appropriate things to do that don't play into stereotypes of young, rich, black men.

I've always found this very confusing? What is "better" nightlife? Are there no clubs in Boston? Are there no places where a young, rich athlete can pick up girls? Is alcohol not as good in Boston?

Probably primarily refers to bars and clubs being required to shut down at 2AM in Massachusetts.

Again, specifically what would they be doing to celebrate? What would you suggest they do to elevate themselves culturally and/or intellectually in the US to celebrate winning a championship?
