I don't know about some of the casting choices. O-T Fagbenle is doing something totally bizarre with an accent and it's distracting as hell. So is Renate Reinsve, who so far doesn't work as Carolyn Polhemus at all.

There's no Sandy Stern or Dan Lipranzer, and I'm assuming they're doing it out of respect for Raul Julia and John Spencer, but those are two pretty big characters to not have around.

I don't know if this is going to work for me but I'll give it a shot.

I'll give it a shot too. Pretty good cast and I usually like stuff David E. Kelley does.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

How DARE you, sir!
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I know Mark well, and he definitely doesn’t realize that he sucks.

This made my day.

Like I said, I love “American Movie” (and Mark and friends) because they were so wonderfully passionate about something. Its such a great picture of hope, optimism, and enthusiasm. But they do all suck (at writing and acting). And I love them for it.

I liked the first episode. Only 8 episodes so I'll keep watching. I think some variance is a good idea so it's not just an exact copy of the movie. I guess like a lot of remakes it's probably better if you haven't seen the original. We'll see.

The only way I'm watching is if I somehow find out that:

I was interested in Acolyte but the 17% audience score feels like a clue that my time might be better spent elsewhere.

Show isn't perfect, but it's being review bombed by the people who typically review bomb anything with women, minorities, or LGBTQ folks.

I don't even look at the audience score for most things on rotten tomatoes

You guys are missing the enjoyment of Clipped, which has now released three episodes on Hulu.

From here forward, I'll think of Doc Rivers as Laurence Fishburne. And I love Ed O'Neil hamming it up as a reprehensible Donald Sterling.

This. It’s fine. Intriguing in parts and not good in others. Certainly nowhere near the level of Andor but definitely better than stuff like the Obi Wan show. If you enjoy Star Wars and aren’t an incel, you’ll probably be fine with the show. Only 3 episodes in though so the show could go either way still.

My interest through three episodes is they seem to setting up the appearance of a very, very important character we haven't seen on screen yet. It would be very cool.

We may be thinking along the same lines.

The first one was surprisingly decent if you like Horror. Kind of like an It Follows type flick.

I enjoyed the first one until the absolute abomination of an ending.

so that scene in episode 2 of The Boys....

It's a testament to this show that it took me going back to the episode and doing a quick scrub to figure out which scene you were talking about. Didn't even register as anything when I was watching in real time.

RIP Donald Sutherland

One of the best actors of his generation who quietly is an all-time 70’s star. With this being a basketball board, he’s reminiscent of the best players who never won a ring but still hold a huge place in the public consciousness. Supremely underrated.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Don’t Look Now, and Klute are all stone cold 70’s classics.

I would put Ordinary People and his awesome 15 minute performance in JFK in his canon as well.
