Patrick WILLIAMS?!

Would you like to expand on this argument?

Better shooter, defense, more versatility, and it would force Barnes growth as a scorer with more spacing.

I will be watching Patrick Williams closer this season. Everything I have seen from him suggests RJ is the superior player at volume or not, however ... I am not sure I buy into that. I am missing something here. Let me go educate myself.

Potential wrote:We are a Jaylen Brown and a bench away from competing for a championship. This team is much closer than we think. This weak ass draft could Potentially be huge if Bobsai uses their historic powers to take advantage. Scottie being our Tatum while Quickley is our D White sounds a lot better knowing the fact that RJ is basically our Jrue Holiday

We kinda could look like Dallas.

Barnes is our luka
Quickly is our Kyrie
RJ is our SG PJ.
Jakob is our Gafford
Ochai is our DJJ.
Dick's betters than THJ

We don't have our lively and like Dallas, we don't have enough self bucket getters & more shooting. We are starting from a base tho...

**Yes ino Luka n Kyrie are amazing players

Him Barnes and Quickley would make a good supporting cast next to a star player. Just need that final piece.

I think with Poeltl, this is Masai's vision. Try and find that #1 scoring option / star to add to this crew and get back up again.

Easier said than done but...

Even just a very good 3-and-D wing would be amazing next to them.

Not a chance. I’m not a huge RJ fan but he’s miles better than PWill. PWill isn’t a good player.

RJ has youth on his side but hovering around 20 ppg isn't super impressive in this steroid scoring era, especially when his defense gives up more than he provides offensively. Will be interesting to watch his career arc.

Looks like they refined his shot diet (a lot more paint opportunities / less midrange stuff) and his efficiency shot up.

Hope it continues over a full season because if it does, he's a lot more valuable of an asset than he was with the Knicks.

why is his free throw shooting so bad? He was shooting 83% with the Knicks before the trade.

probably just a sample size thing.

he will probably revert back to low-mid 70s, which is where he's been since his sophomore nba season

for the entire season (NY+TOR), he shot 71.5%

even 71% is kinda bad for a guard. I like that he gets to the line 5 times but he needs to improve that area to really push up his efficiency

he's never been that great

71% over his NBA career and 67% in college.

probably mid-high 70s would be the best case

He stated in his end of season presser that he needs to improve his 3 point shot and his defense. If he is truly able to do that then we might have a potential allstar on our hands. Looking forward to seeing how he looks this upcoming season.

He’s 23. His pops is a literal Canadian Legend. He’s HOME. There’s a huge “prove-em” element. I’ll bet on his improvement.
I believe in Masai.

My most painful high school memory was losing to West Hill in the Toronto East Finals by 4 points.

This was bantam way back in the early 2000's. When we played West Hill the following year virtually NONE of the Championship bantam team had made the junior team. West Hill had recruited a new batch of players from around the GTA.

I wonder if they had Denham Brown then? One of the highest rizz Scarborough ballas of all time. He's known for scoring 100 points against RH King. However he was never able to bring it together and carve out a professional career.

He played Sr. that year. I was oddly at RH King for a double header game the night he scored 111. I left before that game started, though.

It was disputed that he actually scored more than 111.
