LeBron to Cavs trade
Cavs are yet to hire a Head Coach
LeBron looking to retire soon
Bronny to Ohio state had some legs prior to draft combine
I think there is enough smoke here to wonder what LeBron to Cavs might look like.

Re: LeBron to Cavs trade
I'm putting up this:
Cavs get LeBron (opt in or extend and trade), #4
Spurs get Garland
Lakers get Keldon, LeVert
The reason I have Lakers getting very little is that they don't have a lot of leverage over LeBron.

Re: LeBron to Cavs trade
Doesn't Pop have a philosophy of never wanting to make trades with the Lakers ?
On the surface though it seems like a reasonable deal for the Cavs and Spurs, Lakers not so much.
The number 4 pick is probably a lot more valuable to the Lakers than Lavert and Keidon imo.

Re: LeBron to Cavs trade
The value is fine and LBJ is always welcome back, but it's messy with Bronny and the Cavs hiring a new coach they're looking to empower. There would probably need to be a conversation as to whether LBJ is at a point in his career where he's willing to be a passenger in a really nice car driving to the Finals, or whether he still needs to drive.

Re: LeBron to Cavs trade
I don't see any LeBron to CLE deal that doesn't have Garland going to LAL.
It would have to be a sign and trade, its not easy to match the money LeBron will get without one of the top 4 guys. Have to give LAL enough to get them to participate.
Zero interest in CLE doing this, btw.

The leverage is drafting Bronny.
I watched the Ken Griffey documentary that lebron narrated. I know why he wants the legacy of passing the torch to his son while playing with him.
NO's deferred & Lakers have the 18th pick. = leverage

I'm going to have to rethink trading that Lakers pick

I think there is enough smoke here to wonder what LeBron to Cavs might look like.
I find it interesting that LeBron and Rich Paul are no longer pushing the play with Bronny narrative.
Maye he is seriously considering retiring in Cleveland his last few years. Should be interesting to see what he ultimately decides.

Huh? Rich Paul just came out and publicly said he's only letting Bronny meet with 2 teams, one of which is the Lakers. They aren't abandoning that at all.

He also said LeBron is not demanding to play with his son. He even said the Lakers drafting Bronny won't play a factor in his decision.
Rich Paul is one of the best agents in the game. He's probably sending mixed signals who knows what they have planned.

FWIW, I read that as a signal to the other 29 teams in the league that they shouldn't draft Bronny thinking that they can leverage their way to getting LeBron to sign with/demand a trade to them

I can see that as well.
That's what makes Klutch the best agency. These guys are always in control with most of their clients.

He's saying Lebron doesn't want to play with Bronny to leverage Lakers value at 18.

Re: LeBron to Cavs trade
He's talking teams off of drafting Bronny because Lebron wants to play with him in LA. He's planted the seed of doubt to waste a draft pick for the chance Lebron joins.
He's doing this in part because LA needs the value of the18th pick to get better so they'd have to take Bronny 2nd round & need teams to pass for his interest to play with his son while not preventing the team from getting better.
Lebron not signing to the minimum in Phoenix but he can force a S&T for value.

Beal for LeBron would be hilarious.

All someone would have to do is buy No. 50 and pick Bronny if they wanted to test this theory. It's pretty hilarious that Paul is publicly stating he has the power to force the Lakers to burn a first though.

Charlotte has burned 2nds in far worse ways. i wouldn't hate using #42 on it
investigate Adam Silver

I agree that Klutch is trying to scare off all teams not named the Lakers from drafting Bronny.

I took it as a general courtesy, e.g. we're only going to waste the time of two organizations leading up to the draft.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

It's telling he mentions the LA range of picks 18 & 55 to make a singular point that Bron doesn't have to play with Bronny. lol. The varying range was mentioned because of what's on his mind. LA want Bronny more at 55 than 18.
His comments are a scare tactic for anyone entertaining the thought.
