The reason I have Lakers getting very little is that they don't have a lot of leverage over LeBron.

I know the concept here is that the Lakers don't want to be seen as preventing Bron from ending his career where he wants, but this is insanely little value for the Lakers to get in return for a top-15 player in the league.

If I were the Lakers and Bron wanted to go to Cleveland that badly, I'd tell him his pathway there is to opt out and sign with them.

The Lakers have historically bought 2nds and will likely do so this year to bring in Bronny earlier than #55, if he is in their plans.

I mean LBJ could always opt out and tell them they'll agree to a S&T, or not, but he won't be back either way. The Cavs could add a sweetener, but if LBJ wants to leave, all he has to do is walk out the door.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Pretty much. There's no variation of LeBron James ending up in Cleveland and on a max contract that doesn't benefit the Lakers.
