Seems like a post for the T&T Thread. If you want to provide reason for the deal then it is thread-worthy but as is, this sort of falls shorts of most trade threads on this board.
The deal makes a ton of sense for Golden State.
More importantly, does Kuminga's right leg actually look like that? His hamstring looks to be 4x the size of his lower-leg.

I don't think it's a bad offer, but I'd rather keep Lauri.

Oh I thought I put it in the T&T thread sorry.
But yea it essentially is 5 1sts for Lauri.

4 1sts. Moody isn't worth a 1st anymore.
2 of the 1sts we have seen in action--Podz and Kuminga.

Seems pretty hefty price considering Lauri's contract status and his aversion to winning basketball

Re: Utah/GSW
I thjnk GSW only does it as the 2025/2027 firsts. And I don’t think they need to give up both Podz and Kuminga.
Kuminga is really valuable IMO and Utah would look really good with Taylor/Kuminga/George and the early 2025 first.. Maybe I’m still too high on him, but he really grew last year. Would be happy to see him be Dallas’ “all in/last move” if his value is low enough..
This has been debated a lot here, some want every drop. Some GSW fans seem willing to pay every drop.

I do agree it's quite a hefty price. And to see people still turn it down seems wild to me, but that's why I wanted to see what other people's thoughts were.
Personally I would take out either a 1st, Moody or Podz.

As a Warriors fan, while obviously I would like to pay less, I'd do this. Lauri would be an elite #2 playing off Steph.

Re: Utah/GSW
I posted something similar (I think the WARRIORS could retain Podz...I would add CP3 for Collins) I like it for both, the WARRIORS are a legitimate contender, and the JAZZ take a clear direction, facing a loaded Draft with very few Tamquendo teams, they ensure a good selection and a very promising future, loaded with selections, high potential prospects with a solid core

Wouldn't consider it like hang up the phone and not even have this as a basis of a negotiation? Has there been a better offer that you've seen?

I'd be game if the picks were unprotextes
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I'll put it this way, I'd understand if we did it. That's kind of the biggest endorsement for a Lauri trade I want to give

Re: Utah/GSW
I just don't know what Lauri can do to Warriors.
If Warriors make this trade, we are looking at Curry / Klay(?) / Wiggins / Lauri / Green with GPII, TJD, and Looney(?) on the bench. Even if we ignore a gigantic void at the bench and assume Klay is resigned, I just don't see the lineup as a contender. Klay fell off the cliff, don't know how good Wiggins can be, Green is regressing, and even Curry is showing a sign of slowing down. The core is about to collapse, and we need a lot of young players to reinforce it. But this trade would gut out almost every young player, and we are looking at the 5th-6th seed at best. For Curry's resume, anything short of the championship won't matter whether the Warriors miss PO or get eliminated at the conference final (ex: Lebron), and we won't be close to the championship.
If we don't lose two first-rounders, I could see the Warriors making this gamble. If things don't go well, the Warriors will start rebuilding from zero, and if this goes well, the Warriors will reinforce the roster by trading picks. But without picks, I just don't see how Warriors can fill the roster with quality backup PG, SG, and SF, or delay the rebuilding process till 2019 season.

Re: Utah/GSW
6-12 months ago I would have been all over this for the Warriors, but after watching Utah several times this season, I don't think Lauri is as good as he's hyped up to be. He's a good 3-point shooter, but I'm not that impressed with him in other areas. He's also not very durable, only playing in 50-60 games per year for almost his entire career. Maybe Utah were using him incorrectly, but I don;t think he's worth a huge package of picks and players at all.
The OP is a no from me, easily.

Re: Utah/GSW
If GS wants to compete for a title next year this is a good deal for them. If not this then something similar.
If GS does not want to go this direction they should move Curry ASAP.
