SGA-Caruso-Dort sounds absolutely exhausting for the opposing offense.

If OKC can add a big who can rebound they're a clear contender next season.

Surprised people think this low of Josh Giddey. We saw what he’s like with high usage and when he’s not limited to a spot of shooter. He’s only 21 years old and Caruso is a 30 year old guard who is always injured.

Good trade for both teams for where they’re at now, but I think looking back in 5 years we’ll be thinking what a steal for Chicago

Giddey still young, still played 80 games last season whilst he must have been having the worst year of his life.

Giddey needed a new start. Caruso makes perfect sense and fit for OKC.

Have to wait for other OKCs moves to determine this trade:

- still have no legit center for specific matchups
- still have no swingman to play minutes as a 3/4
- Caruso alongside SGA and Dort means once again ultra-smallball lineups

So pretty decent player vs player value, but they need further trades to reconfigure their rotation.

Presti totally flopped with that 6th overall pick by drafting Giddey.

Trading him for Caruso makes up for it a bit.

Could this be OKC's Derrick White trade? I like this for both sides. Chicago gets Giddey who can slot alongside Pat Will + Ayo and form the next young duo in Chicago.

OKC obviously is going for it next year. The league is in a state of parity and as Presti quoted: "Scared money don't make none"

I don’t understand why teams like the Bulls and Lakers let go of fan favorites like Caruso. Everybody loves the guy, he’s on a reasonable contract. It’s just a middle finger to your fanbase.

It also sounds exhausting for SGA to carry and entire offense with zero support.

Can you play Williams with that lineup? If so - that is SMALL with Chet also being SMALL at the 5.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

He is 30 and they suck?

giddey is a liability on defense and even if he can make threes, his free throw rate and rim finishing are bad. he's young but has a ton of experience already and players as bad at him at the rim and getting to the line rarely improve to even average at those things.

Great trade for OKC, really like Caruso's defense....type of trade that you need to win a championship. They just need to make one or two more.

That seems overly harsh. Giddey seems perfectly decent for a number 6 pick. You can argue they should have taken Kuminga or Wagner but it's not that definitive. The much bigger mistake was not keeping Sengun. He would be absolutely perfect for them.

The guys picked after Giddey were Kuminga, Franz, Davion Mitchell, Zaire Williams.
Franz is the only guy who has shown to be better than Giddey. To say it was a "flop" pick is very strong. Giddey is still a pretty good player, just not a great fit in OKC.

Based on the reports of what the bulls turned down and just in general of how limited Giddey is, this seems embarrassingly bad for Chicago.

The more perplexing aspect of this trade is that Lonzo is due to return this season and they also have Coby White, Zach Lavine, Ayo that all play the 1.

Bulls ain’t done dealing imo.

Good trade for both teams. One team needs to rebuild and the other one is primed to make it to the Finals.
