Shows you what Caruso's value around the league is. I've been saying how overrated the guy is. He's a solid role player who people overrate because he's "gritty"
The Sixers have nothing to trade anyway other than picks and no serious team trades quality picks for Alex Caruso. Never wanted him and glad he's not coming to Philly.

Yea the only reason to put some info like that out is to leverage him. Morey must want a decision from him sooner than later. Cant afford to be in the dark close to draft night.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
Hypothetically, if we went all in for Lauri (all the picks and swaps), what would the roster look like in terms of what else we could get to put around those three (Embiid/Maxey/Lauri)? And would we be able to re-sign Lauri when the time comes?

Getting Giddey feels like a youth movement. Perfect, DeRozan will be available and hopefully the market will help us get him at a discount.

My money all along has been on Jimmy Butler. I think it's entirely possible the Sixers could trade for him on draft night.
That could be fine, if they're not giving up any more than 16 and that 26 OKC 1st. Don't have any clue why Miami agrees to that, though.

Alternatively, my fears are realized and Morey is going to take LaVine for pennies on the dollar (value wise), but we'll have that contract for the rest of Embiid's prime.

Since the Bulls are a yard sale atm, get Pat Will in the Lavine trade.

Well they aren't going to trade him unless he wants out because they aren't paying him. If he wants out and they have to trade him, I don't think many teams will be interested. So the return probably won't be hefty.

I'm surprised the Magic haven't jumped on this. I feel like they could use LaVine's scoring, and they have the defensive versatility to cover for him. My guess is either the Bulls still want positive value back or they are trying to dump all their bad contracts at once.
For the Sixers, 11 has to be involved somehow.
So of course, the Bulls trade Caruso for Giddey.
Seems like a youth movement could be getting underway there now.

Just saw someone in the athletic reporting that the Pelicans contacted us about Brandon Ingram. If they are reaching out, maybe he’s available for a good price. The guy is only 26. I would be into getting someone for their entire prime, rather than getting an old and hoping his body doesn’t fall apart the next two years.

Bulls MJ is rolling over in his grave. Bobcats MJ says, good trade.

I get what you are saying but with that same concept we got Tobias instead of Jimmy for his entire prime and you see how it turned out lol.
I still think Ingram is better than Tobias, but i don't know if by that much to be worth the Max.

Draft: Jared McCain, Harrison Ingram
Sign: DeMar DeRozan, KCP, Jalen Smith, Kyle Lowry, Nicolas Batum, Kelly Oubre
Maxey / Lowry or McCain
DeRozan / Oubre or McCain
KCP / Oubre / Council
Smith / Batum
Embiid / Smith or Reed
KCP kinda scares me as he's been spoon fed baskets by the best player in the NBA. Otherwise, plenty of size, switchability, and high quality role playing. We'd obviously have to add more to fill out the roster, but this makes a lot of sense without mortgaging the future. I think we'll come to appreciate the scoring jolt that McCain would add to this team.
I'd sign for that right now.

Hopefully no part of Ingram gets here. Almost identical profile to Tobias wth as much influence in actually winning

No one thinks Tobias is more of a bum than me, but I think Ingram will be a much better fit. While we may still have some moments of wishing Ingram would shoot more threes like Tobi, I think Ingram is just a much better connector overall who will benefit from the attention Maxey and Embiid get. Ingram actually has a decent assist percentage. Tobi’s was awful.
