Surely this signals the end of all of Demar, Zach & Vuc? I’d re-sign Pat and run with Ayo/Coby/Giddey/Pat/Drummond(?) and see if there’s anything with that group in a tank year.

Why would this surely signal the end of Demar, Zach and Vuc? We just traded a SG with 1 year left on his deal for a different SG with one year left on his deal with a different skill set.

Because Giddey is 21 and can’t shoot. Only a brain dead front office would pair him with DeRozan. Zach will be gone regardless unless nobody wants him.

Where are the draft assets?
AC is a back to back All Defense, where is the rest of the compensation especially with Giddey's value being so low with his off the court situation last season.

We have the most incompetent management in the NBA besides the **** show in Detroit.

Giddy is only 21 so that's good but I will wait to see what other moves Bulls make to see how things fit, also most likely we would of lost Caruso for nothing so at least they got a asset, Giddy has to concentrate on improving his game and his shooting

I'm sure this trade would be viewed differently if Giddey was never involved with that minor, but it doesn't change the fact that we're trading one of our best assets for a guy at his lowest trade value and aren't getting any sweeteners. For a team that's loaded with picks this is unacceptable.

You think Bulls get a young starter and a pick for Caruso? Lol

Why would we assume that Giddey starts? He very well may play off the bench.

Surely Chicago got at least 1 pick. There must be more to come.

Basically if we traded for him after year 2, everyone would have been jumping for joy lol

That weird underage thing is influencing people's views of him as a player, but from what I know of it (which admittedly isn't that much), it doesn't seem that bad? Kind of seems like it was overblown and grew into a meme more than anything. Correct me if I'm wrong.

it's **** stupid when he was 19 he was dating and **** a 17 year old. I mean, that **** happens constantly. 17 is a fully grown woman and a two year age gap is nothing. If he was 19 and a senior in her HS nobody would have thought anything. People are just weird and want to make something out of nothing.

my complaint with this trade is purely on court.

17 isn't fully grown for either gender, that's still a kid, but so is a 19-year-old.

Yea I don't understand the disappointment here. Giddy is way better than Alex Caruso and much younger.

To be quite honest Caruso value was all hype. I liked Caruso here but if I were to trade him I would have wanted a young prospect with some upside which is what we got.

They are looooooaaaaded with picks. And we couldn’t get any? Literally nothing from them?

And we taking over a guy who has the worst reputation in the league right now. That isn’t worth even a few seconds?

We just traded away our best asset for a guy that on a good team is a backup guard. What are we doing? We're running in place but everybody else is actually running and we'll struggle to win 40 games again with this crap.

It's just more of the same crap. The same crap we've seen since AKME took over. There's no plan, they just make isolated move after isolated move and hope at the end of the day the **** they threw at the wall turns into a a Picasso.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

I think the FO believes that Patton can unlock his shot. He can get that 33% up to 38%+ and more volume with some work. Hes not that far off.

Giddey is one-dimensional. A solid player but the only plus skills he has are rebounding and passing. He needs the ball to be effective but doesn't have the scoring gravity or athleticism to make it work. He is heading into the 4th year of his contract as well so we only have one season before we have to extend him.

Not really against the move at the moment though.

Yeah, zero percent change of this happening, at least to start the season, IMO.

Just going to add to my own rant...

There's a good chance Caruso moves the needle for them. Was OKC really going to walk away from this trade if we held firm on asking for one of their 37 picks? Really?
