Are there rumors to this end or are you just guessing? I've mentioned Hartenstein as a great fit for OKC before as well.
The Knicks can only offer Hartenstein around $17m, and OKC can offer a deal that starts around $23m. I've heard several rumors that OKC is interested in him.

Man I love this trade for OKC. I think Giddey is a nice building block for Chicago he'll have time to get comfortable and find his game. He'll end up being a pretty good PG.

It’s not harsh whatsoever. Giddey is not good at all.

Giddey is talented but a bad fit for the NBA. For him to be effective, he needs to handle the ball a lot, but he isn't enough of a scoring threat to justify having the ball in his hands a lot. He needs to be a roleplayer, but the two most valuable attributes for an NBA roleplayer player are 3pt shooting and defense, two things Giddey is awful at. He has literally no possible role on a top team unless he learns to shoot.

This is what most of us who have watched Giddey have been saying for months.

Oh well I suppose the Bulls will be in the running for the top pick in the next few drafts. They need to be bottom 10 next season to keep their pick and swapping out Caruso for Giddey is a good start to keeping it.

Caruso was easily the Bulls best player last few years, amazing acquisition for the Sonics.

I dont know guys, I still on Giddey Island full stop. Caruso is great role player and should be huge for any contender, He is also 30 years old.

Josh Giddey is 21, he is 6'8 point guard with great passing skills and crafty moves all around. Thats a very good get, I mean, wow, Karnišovas remembered you can do trades in the NBA!

Josh Giddeys main problem was really the fit. Out of all the players in the entire league, Giddey's fit was probably the worst. Yes, he just couldn't shoot and hes on team with SGA and D-dubb, so he is also, not initiating offense a ton. SO they literally made him a spot up shooter.

Also, his shooting wasn't that bad in the past, all the issues impacted him psychologically very bad, you can cllearly see. Opponent fans were booing him, people on this veryforum were calling him pedo, for seriously, a big bunch of nothing. Kid got screwed up all around this season, it was a bit sad.

Alex Caruso is great, but I am not sure what you expect from him? Picks? Are picks better than Giddey? Seriously? I know we are all Peter Griffins here, and we all would rather have a mysterious box, but Giddey is almost just as young as some of these draft prospects today, and the kid showed he could play, just this entire season went as bad for him as it can. Desperately needed a change of scenary, and I am exited to see on another team, where maybe they made him a point guard again.

Thank you. Im already sick of reading about how we could have done so much better.

Better how? links please? where were these out of the park offers we turned down? What a late 1st from Golden State? Kuminga was never on the table for Caruso.

Where would Giddey go in this draft right now? No way in hell we had a more valuable pick offered. Unless you consider late 1sts and 2nds to be better

Everyone knows he has a million picks, and The Bulls just cough up Caruso without even getting one of their picks?

This is just terrible asset management from The Bulls.

AK doesn't value picks that much. When he drafted #4 he said he never wants to draft high again. He was handing them out like candy to get Vuc & Derozan, and Derozan was a UFA.

I'm surprised we're not trading our #11.

We were making redrafts of that draft in 2023, and GIddey was going higher than he originally went. People seriously underestimating just in how much of terrible spot he was this year, and he is 21, kid look good in previous seasons already.

A lot has changed in a year. I don’t even know if he goes top 10 in a redraft now.

Cade
Mobley
Barnes
Suggs
Kuminga
Wagner
Sengun
Murphy III
Herb Jones
Jalen Johnson

All guys I (and I think many others) would take over Giddey right now.

I wonder if the Bulls actually have a plan… does this signal a rebuild? If so, how did they not get any draft capital back?

OKC with a huge win here. Now if they can get a physical paint big.. someone like Jafro, they are set for a title.

what. Who on chicago approved this trade? Why are we just handing out 2way players to contending teams? Can the mavs get a handout too?

I honestly like this for Chicago. Pairing Giddy with Coby White is a much, much better fit than Giddy and SGA could ever be and Giddy is exactly what White needs in a backcourt mate. Giddy can be the primary ball handler with White as his primary scoring option and can defend the opponents best perimeter player. Giddy can attack the basket while White spreads the defense

I know people won't like the value for Chicago and maybe they're right, but Josh Giddy is a very good basketball player who was in a terrible roster situation. I expect him to be markedly better in a Bulls uniform next year.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.
