When everybody gathered for the huge championship picture, including families, Al's girls were holding little flags that I presume were for the Dominican Republic. (They matched the main colors; I didn't see them fully enough to comment on the overall design. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_the_Dominican_Republic)

The part starting around 8:30 is pretty interesting.

Maybe the crowd during the first round series against the Cs in 2008 resonated with him. Remember, he also first met his wife in Boston. And he has a connection/friendship with a couple of Red Sox players. Wouldn't surprise me if Ortiz and co. have talked about him re Boston sports fans and how they treat you once you win a title.

He's in a unique position to be one of few NBA players to repeat as a college champion AND repeat as an NBA champion. Has it even happened since the late 60s?

Russell and KC Jones both doing it as teammates at San Francisco and on the C’s the only examples I can think of period. Kareem never won back to back in the NBA, neither did Walton, and not a lot of other back to back NCAA winners since UCLA’s historic run (just Duke in the early 90’s, Al’s Gators, and now UConn).

Edit: Nvm Kareem did win back to back NBA in 87 and 88 so that would be the last time and maybe only other time.

I think that they just need a bigger house? They've got 5 Kids, now.

Yeah he is in great shape. I think he could go an additional 2 years providing quality 6 man 20-25 minutes a game, give him some rest games and target maybe 60 games a year just to keep him as fresh as possible.

Playoffs are all that matters for Horford and the Celtics. Young guys are going to get a ton of run in the regular season next year.
