Malik Monk, Kings Agree To Four-Year, $78M Deal

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Jun 21, 2024 3:09 am

Malik Monk and the Sacramento Kings have agreed to a four-year, $78 million contract. Monk's contract includes a player option in Year 4.

The Kings offered Monk the maximum they were allowed under the collective bargaining agreement. Monk was set to become an unrestricted free agent, but the Kings secure a commitment from their Sixth Man before he could hit the open market.

Monk is represented by Jeff Schwartz and Marcus Monk.

A bit steep but I'm glad they got it done.

I don’t know why people thought he’d leave for more money. Nobody would’ve given him more than this.

Same for Hartenstein. Nobody will give him for more than what the Knicks can offer I believe four years $73 million.
