From three point range, she made 12 of 32 in 16 games her rookie year, but only 4 of 25 in her next 49 games over parts of three seasons.

This year, she's shot really well from two point range, she's a good free throw shooter, and she draws fouls at a decent rate, so her TS% is a very creditable .581 (.537 overall for her career).

But to be a mainstay of a team playing starter's minutes (she's 21.1 mpg for her career and exactly 21.0 so far this year), I'd like to see better floor spacing (and less fouling).
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

Yeah Chennedy is pretty damn solid, the inefficient 3 point shot is probably my biggest criticism of her game.

Would prefer better floor spacing at guard to give them more room to cook inside.
But those are hard to find in the W. I've also not been too impressed with her passing tbh, not that I've watched a ton of games, but I see more Kobe assists than great setups (not that there's anything wrong w a Kobe assist).
I like her defense though. But she's also had problems at her other stops. This kinda feels like her get-right season so she can get a legit contract in the offseason, but do you wanna be the team that gives her that contract under the assumption she won't regress to the bad locker room behavior from prior stops?
I'd be leery, but her Chicago teammates seem to love her.

Well, she's not the point guard, so Kobe assists are what's expected for her. If she has so outbursts this season I feel they would have no choice but to give her a contract. The fanbase would riot if they didn't.

Meh. This ain't the NBA. She's the 3rd best guard in the league in terms of efficiency, i'll take that without qualifications.

True that. Star scoring guards in the NBA are expected to torch people off the dribble, pull up for 2s, and hit open 3s. To cite one example among many, Zach LaVine does all of those three things very well, and your team can get him from the Chicago Bulls for a case of beer. In the WNBA, one out of three is fine, two out of three is outstanding, and nobody does all three.

Absolutely.

Don't forget to vote for your All Stars

Edit: I still think that Chennedy can become a better outside shooter.

Now that you mention it, even in the NBA I don't see a lot of folks pulling up for twos like that outside of guys like KD, Leonard, Jimmy etc.

i'd think the sky will need to figure out their spacing at some point if they're going to take the next step offensively though? they have a bunch of non-shooters in that lineup

Angel has to develop her catch and shoot three pointer, but they're most likely going to have to have shooting at PG/SG/SF in order to make it work long term

Aces speed, pace and shooting has knocked the Sun on its heels. No show from Bonner.

Just seeing Gray really for my first time for a quick stint in her first game back, and tonight. Missed shots, but whatever there’s natural rust. More curious how she looks physically and moving around for those that know her game well?

Reiterating this message from the Fever thread as there's more traffic here:

This is a fair first and only general warning: cool it with the personal snide remarks, stick to the game, leave the one-upmanship, name-calling, back-seat modding. Hit that report button and move on.

We appreciate passion and insight, but please leave the oversight to us and don't participate in personal back and forth about who watches what for how long and why and impute whatever motives about it.

The game has enough interesting aspects to focus on. Thanks.

Seems they’re destined to be one of the 2-4 teams standing in the end again, but you quickly question their offense and shooting as the reason they’ll come up just short.

After a slow start, Aces controlled most of last night’s game, nearly doubled the 3PA, and didn’t even shoot them well. What happens when the 3s do fall?

It was only one game, but seems like the Aces just have another gear offensively that the Sun don’t have by comparison. Even for a newer fan, there’s clearly a reason they went b2b…and having the best player always helps.

I love Chen. Her quickness is elite. She is like a productive version of Patrick Beverly with her chippyness. I love the warrior spirit she has, she just got control it.

If she did not come back to SKY I would be pissed.

The Aces have way more offensive firepower and I think the return of Chelsea Gray put a battery in their backs last night, that was the best game I've seen them play all season.

Don't expect too many more 1 for 6 performances from Gray. She is an absolute nightmare player to defend offensively when she's 100%. She has to get her basketball legs back.

I have a ton of respect for her. Her 3 point shot is one of the deadliest in the sport :noway: as a Liberty fan I am not eager to see her again

:o their only two losses are versus NY and LV.

I don't think that they are frauds, you have to play who they put in front of you, but it's something to keep an eye on.
