If we draft Risacher, signing Goga Bitadze using the MLE seems like a solid approach to shore up the Center Rotation.

Adequate...

He's an above average rebounder, solid rim protector.

Limited defending in space, but works as part of a scheme where wing players are funneled to the shot blocker.

Think younger, Brook Lopez.

Goga Bitadze would be a good role players to have. 15 rebounds is his career high in a game, while JJJ's is 13, so Goga has that going for him. Goga's shotblocking effort was greater than JJJ's too...lol

You guys familiar with this guy?

Is he a solid defensive target off the bench?

Lauri Markkanen and Jalen Johnson would compliment each other very well.

For us to have success, I want two players in our frontcourt to average over 15 field goal attempts per game, we currently don't have one, and Trae can still average his 18-20 attempts per game.

We shouldn't have six players with double digit attempts per game. Five at the most is necessary but we must have the talent to justify it. If we continue down the path we've been on we're going to continue to be a lottery team.

Trae Young and Dejounte Murray having 18 attempts per game is a fail. They aren't good enough shooters and especially Trae Young. The rest of the team is trying to makeup for their poor shooting by getting offensive rebounds. Another fail.

I wonder if Hawks could have traded #1 and AJ Griffin to Houston for #3, Tari Eason and a handful of 2nd round picks?

Hawks still probably end up with Risacher in that scenario, but also get a supreme defender + 2nd rounders and cap relief for their trouble...

OO starting at the 5 is a less liability to me than Clint Capela. Let's start Clint Capela who we've had on the trade block for a minimum of two years? That doesn't make sense to me.

Larry Nance is a tough guy and I like his game very much. I just think it might be best to move him for something before he expires at the end of next season.

OO is a bust, but its due to injury. OO just doesn't have the body and stamina to be an NBA starter. He will end up only playing 40-50 games this year.

Cap... If you're on the trading block, you have to start to increase your value. Sitting a guy you want to trade is just beyond stupid

So, let's start the season off like this past season, by starting Cap, and not move him.

So instead of sitting Capela you play him to "increase his trade value"...
which in turn makes us a worse team because Clint no longer has the body or stamina to be an NBA starter either. He is too slow and can't make a shot to save his life if it isn't a dunk.

James Wiseman makes sense.
Golden State and Detroit didn't workout and why would they? The Warriors aren't setup to allow a young center (23 yrs old) to succeed and Detroit was never a good fit with Monty.

Eh, i'd rather trade for Ayton, and have Quin & Trae try to motivate him to be early Phoenix years Ayton.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
