Weakest draft in over a decade and the Knicks try to trade into the lottery would be pretty hilarious.

Mitch is a good player, but he’s a limited specialist who cant stay healthy. Matches up well against bigger dudes like Embiid, but Isaiah is better overall.

Mitch is one of our better assets. Other teams could use him. Isaiah needs to play at least 28-30 mpg if his achilles thing goes away and we pay him 18 mill a year, so that only leaves 18-20 mpg for Mitch. We’re better off using his spot on somebody more versatile, healthier, and ideally cheaper.

Who do you suggest then?

I suggest we get someone who wants to win a championship. Otherwise just run it back while filling out needs with tools or using the exception (s).

That’s the kind of answer I expected

We should trade Mitch and get Another Isaiah to back up Hartenstein - Isaiah Stewart.

Honestly, a healthy Mitch @ 20 MPG against 2nd units seems like he'd be feasting. Not having to deal with starters on a full time schedule might be refreshing. I really don't see his number as an issue.

Yeah, it really isn't when you have T-Wolves paying 56 mil between Gobert and Reid (or 45 between KAT and Reid).

If Mitch is okay with 15-20 mpg then sure, but even if him and Isaiah are good friends I think it’d become awkward between them eventually considering Mitch used to be our starter. He can probably be a starter somewhere else still.

I appreciate Mitch but Id rather invest in a more versatile and healthy player.

Can’t go Mitch and OG… can’t have two injury prone players on your top 7-8 rotation.

I mean, you may be right. As far as I know, Mitch has been 100% supportive of I-Hart as the starter and staying as a starter. Otherwise, his Twitter or Instagram account would be littering with some well known pity posts. I can't imagine Thibs not having 2 legitimate Centers on this team.

So essentially they want to make a trade for a player with the cap space they have because their intel is saying they won’t fare well in free agency . Zach Lavine come on down lol

I still think they should waive Bojan to avoid the luxury tax and just use their MLE. Mitch and Isiah combined is why the Knicks got past Embiid. That duo isn’t a problem. Bojan was not very good at all since he got traded to the Knicks, isn’t really a Thibs player because he is a defensive liability. He also just had two surgeries, and is 35.

It is when 1 of them misses half the season.

It’s true, but I notice that this has become a risk with so many if not all players. Everybody misses so many games. Look at Butler, PG, Kawhi, Randle, Morant, Ingram, it’s everywhere. Not just OG.

And then when there is someone like Bridges or DeRozan, people will still find something to discredit them.
