(alternatively could be a Lopez for Dort deal)
13 - Devin Carter
33 - Ryan Dunn
Lillard / Carter
Dort / Green
Murray / Jackson
Giannis / Dunn / Vezenkov
Lopez / Stewart
This is the type of re-tool that would be awesome.

That's one bad offense without Middleton. We didn't have enough guys that could dribble before, and now the wings are Dort and Murray. Our lack of ball handling gets exposed in the playoffs, as does Dorts shooting. Murray doesn't even get 2 apg, we lose so much passing, and now don't have anyone who can throw a lob to Giannis.

Always thought that being in a win now mode any trade you make especially if its midds you would want a return thats equal or better than midds value.
That trade fu... sucks again midds isnt going anywhere its brook portis and etc the big 3 will stay

Yup, Middleton will retire a Buck unless there's a deal for a star. Keegan Murray is just too limited to dream on. Can't dribble or beat anyone off the dribble. Some think he's athletic, but he averages fewer rebounds/36 than Middleton, so he's either unathletic or lazy.

I don't know why anyone would want Middleton to retire as a Buck, unless it's on some kind of minimum contract deal four years from now.
He's going to be 33 years old when next season starts. He's got one more year left and before he opts out, which he absolutely will do as it's probably his last chance at a significant contract. I certainly wouldn't want to be the team that gives him $40 million per year in his mid-30s. Would you?
Knowing that, why wouldn't you explore all trade possibilities?

He took a below market deal last time, he'll remain a bargain.
Trades are unlikely, as it's nearly impossible to find a better playoff performer. If you got one, I'll listen.

What makes you think that because he took a below market deal last time that he'll do it again, knowing it's his last chance to cash in?
He's won a title. He's got nothing left to do in Milwaukee.

I was told his last contract was his last contract. He had his ring when he resigned last time, but still took less. Dude is loyal, and just wants to win.

You think he's going to retire next summer? I doubt that.

What do we think about Jalen Smith? Agile but undersized, shot the 3 really well last year. Is he any good? I'm not sure. He might opt out, but if he doesn't I'd think he'd be very available in trade.

I liked him when he was a draft prospect. Still like him now. Feel like he’ll probably opt out but not sure how strong his market will be.

If he wants to cash in one more time and doesn’t care who he plays for, so be it. But much like Giannis, I’ll assume Middleton is staying until I see him on another team.

Nope, just pointing out that some have had Mids timeline wrong before. Guys that get highly efficient 20+ppg in the playoffs aren't going anywhere.

Not to sound cold, but this is really bad asset management. The entire goal should be extending the window with Giannis. Letting guys like Middleton, Dame, and Brook retire as Bucks is dumb.

I don't think Chicago is looking to trade White, but I wonder how close this gets us:
MKE: White
SAC: Portis
CHI: Mitchell, Vezenkov, #13, #23
or
MKE: White
MEM: Portis, #23
CHI: Ziaire, Konchar, #9
MKE: White

CHI: Mitchell, Vezenkov, #13, #23
or

It really depends what offers are out there. If we’re talking stuff like some have proposed here where guys like Giddey are the main piece coming back, I’d much rather continue having Middleton, especially if he continues taking relative discounts to be here.
If we can turn him into Paul George or something, I’m definitely listening but nobody here has proposed a Middleton deal that's even remotely tempting to me (with the exception of that bonkers Clippers one someone proposed tonight). Trading him for a **** package is worse asset management than keeping him.

If you think I want to keep Lopez, you haven't been paying attention to me. Unlike Middleton, Brook is not a playoff riser, but he has value to teams that need regular season wins. Time to cash that value in. Dealing Brook extends the window. Dealing Mids closes the window.

I know you're just brainstorming, thanks for not talking my criticism personal. I just don't think Dort is worth assets under that contract.
