ATLANTA — Julius Randle won’t find out which NBA All-Star team he is playing on until captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo draft the rosters just before Sunday night’s game in Salt Lake City.

When asked if there are any players he’d really like to play with, Randle mentioned James and Clippers star Paul George.

If the PG rumors have any truth to them, does Mitch be involved in a 3 team trade to get LAC deal done?

Do we even have capital / cap space to complete this without involving Randle?

Assuming it’s Mitch / Bog / Duece / #24 going out for PG return with Mitch going elsewhere and amother ready player going to LAC?

To trade for PG13 without giving up Randle is very tough.

If we give Bojan, Mitch, Deuce and Sims to match salaries, it would totalize 40M. We would have to use the 125% rule and becoming hard-capped in the first apron.

Brunson, Donte, OG (35M), PG13, Randle, Hart and IHart would totalize almost 167,5M (for 7 players) and we would be limited at 178,5M. I mean the total would be 185M . Its already over the first apron and still missing 7 or 8 players.

LAC can not receive Precious in a sign and trade. Because their payroll is higher than 178M and they can not be hard-capped at the first apron. We would need to include a third team.

We may use Precious salary as a salary match filler. But I think we would have to count his old salary as outgoing salary. Besides 13M is above market value.

Edit: In addition to all that, Precious would have to agree with the transaction and it would only be legal in the moratorium.

He just extended with them like 8 months ago and is an efficient hub of their offense - there's no rational reason to move him for a chronically injured, defensive specialist center.

Knicks tryna trade Mitch and still have picks and salary to trade. Very interesting times. Let’s see how we play it. Especially because the Celtics won.

We're in a good position either way because we can just bring back OG, but most likely won't be able to bring back IHart, so get a center to back up MRob and a backup PG to give Brunson rest and basically run it back without IHart, and if we can get good health on our side then that team is a challenge for any team in the east.

Paul George is similar age as Bojan, also essentially the same age as washed Kemba and Blake Griffin....pass.

I'll take PG or KD to make a 2-3 year run with as long as both can get in line and understand that they're the #2 to Brunson.
