Angel Reese was simply a great pick.

Yes she was. She's the anti-Pat. He has a smooth jumper that she will never have, which in theory makes him more valuable, because they are both good athletes, by the standards of their leagues. But one player will scratch and claw and wrestle and fight for that ball, and the other one ... nah. Not really what he does.

Shout out to Chennedy Carter who balled out as well.

This is shaping up to be a Lebron/Carmelo type rookie race.

her and Catlin will also be battling for a playoff birth. Fever have looked much better of late.

Reese just reminds me a lot of Noah. When Noah was a rookie, you could tell that he had a winning edge about himself. But his game was ugly and his mouth got him in trouble at times. But as he matured, you just got to appreciate how he approached the game and always seemed to find ways to make a positive impact on the floor.

I think that Rodman is the better comparison, as Reese is an even stronger offensive rebounder than Jo was and plays the #4 slot. But yeah, that's also a pretty good match.

The return of Cardoso seems to have led to Angels double-double streak.

I'm glad they are dominating the boards like I thought they would.

It's the South Carolina formula. Have not just one dominant big, but two or three. Then just put up close-range shot after close-range shot (long jumpers lead to long rebounds, as Stacey reminds us) and pound the opposition on the offensive boards. It doesn't much matter if you make the first shot. There will be a second and a third.

At half.

Caitlin Clark 8pts 7asts
Angel Reese 8pts 8rebs

C.Carter with 15

Caitlin is showing that amazing court vision. She would have probably had 10 asts already if they finished the easy ones. Angel is a beast but she certainly needs to work on an actual jumper. There are so many opportunities for her to take it so that's the next step in her progression.

Just like the Bulls. Sky needs shooters.

It’s hard watching Clark’s teammates be so unable to take advantage of her abilities. She is playing at a level way above most of them and it shows. It was that way when I watched a few games early in the season as well.

Fever have some talent on their team but a few players are too iso heavy minded. They are not adapt at running the floor, cutting and finishing on Catlins passes. Luckily it looks like her and Boston are gelling; those two will complement each other.

Clark's passing is something else. The Sky can't guard the PNR right now.

She’s starting to rein in her more ambitious passes as a result. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. Maybe necessary for now.

Thought this was hilarious. I can't imagine a pro player ever handling the ball this illegally and can't believe it wasn't called.

wnba refs have been pretty bad in my humble rookie fan opinion.

For winning in the short term its a good thing. Obviously not the long term. Everything the Fever do from here on out has to be to find players who can mentally and physically keep up with Clark.

Still plenty time left but I don’t see this sky team beating Indiana this season and it’s ok but next season they have to play better too many turnovers in all 3 games especially todays game

Its the lack of 3s from the Sky. That is the difference in the game.
