DET is exploring trade interest in Isaiah Stewart...NY kid...he has really developed a nice stretch big game and is a good defender. Feel like he would be a perfect fit for the way we play and the fans would love him.

Not sure what DET is looking for both he has a pretty reasonable contract.

Stewart now that he can shoot a little bit might be one of those guys like DJJ/PJ Washington etc where they are just stuck on bad teams but you put them next to better teammates they can become very good players.

he was like the only player on DET that played any defense. He has pretty good analytics. And he made 1.5 3's on 3.8 attempts 38.3%...his knock last two seasons 50 games and 46 games...so another guy that misses time.

But man his mentality would fit perfect on this knicks team and in NY. Fans would love him. Plays with relentless force...just is stuck in DET where they suck.

I feel as though he might not like getting 15 mpg on the Knicks though

Question for the capologists out there... Can we realistically sign iHart and OG. THEN trade for PG13? (Mitch/Bojan/filler). Is this even possible with the new CBA?

Leon and co. can get it done. Opt in and trade… opt out and extend and trade… we got salary filler in Diakete and Sims and even the draft picks after draft day… we also go potential Precious and Burks S&T salary as filler. There are ways!

Pulling in a 3rd under the cap team also helps… our buddies in Detroit or Washington might want Mitch, Bogs or McBride (or Burks).

Even if you could sign and trade Burks to a third team (36/3 with the first year guaranteed) in exchange for a pick (to have outgoing salaries higher than the PG13 salary, to be hard-capped at the second apron instead of the first apron), it would not work.

Brunson, Randle, OG(35), PG, Hart, Donte, IHart and Deuce would totalize around 189,5M. The same value as the second apron. And we would have to sign more 7 or 8 players yet.

I've been saying this for months.

If the KNICKS keep OG and iHart, they would need to get rid of a big salary to bring in the "star" player they've been hoping to get. If PG is who they want, the logical person to be traded would be Julius. We can't afford Ju, iHart, OG, and PG -- unless a 3rd team gets involved.

So, prepare yourselves because IF we find the "star" player, Julius probably ends up as the odd man out.

The Knicks trading for Bojan Bogdanović's contract was a hint that they knew they needed a big contract to make a specific trade this off-season.

The funny thing is James Harden and Russell Westbrook(player option) can both become free agents on June 30th.

Where would the Clippers get the money to pay Paul George and James Harden to play next to Kawhi?

Kawhi's health alone should be all the evidence the Clippers' front office needs to decide it's time to rebuild and they would be better off trading Paul George.
