Riley Minix is one of my faves.

Ryan Dunn is a non-scorer, elite defender - Tony Allen type wing defender with a 7'1.5" wingspan.

Adem Bona has a 7' 3.75'' wingspan with great Steal and Block rates who can kick it out to the open 3.

I had my Oso moments for sure. The passing & D are nice.
I've switched to Mogbo now, though. Neither can shoot, Mogbo seems more physical and hyperactive.

I think Oso’s bball IQ is great. The kid is going to do big things because of being bball smart alone! Sleeper. I’m on this one!!

Agree. I think we have had enough of past Celtic players with low BBIQ.

This draft has a lot of 6-3 and under prospects starting with Reed Sheppard. Danny Ainge must love it.

Foreign players are foreign to me. No stats based on 100 possessions. No advanced stats - DRB%, Steal%, etc. Very hard for me to evaluate.

I lean on realgm stats for foreign players. They don't have per 100 possessions but have pretty much everything else.

Instead of per 100 possessions, I will manually do the math to calculate a guy's per 40 mins numbers and compare that to the per 40 minute numbers for college players I'm comparing them to.

I also use Barttorvik for other stats like FG% at the rim and total number of dunks. But they only have college players - not foreign so does make it a little more tricky to evaluate them - gotta lean on the eye test a little more..

I think this is the year Miami finds a deal to move Herro and move up in the draft. I'd hate to see it, but I think Miami gets Dillingham.

Portis? If he had offense anywhere close to Bobby he’s likely going top 5 imo. I liken him to Rob Williams but much more raw at this stage. Doesn’t have the passing vision that Rob had but as a screen setter and rim runner and a guy that can guard down low and out on the perimeter he ticks all the boxes.

A little off topic but it seems like France is sort of on a roll prospect wise.

They had Dieng (11), Diabate (43), Kamagate (46) in 2022.
Had Wembanyama (2), Coulibaly (7), Rupert (43) and Cissoko (44) in 2023.
Will likely have Sarr in the top 3, Risacher and Salaun in the lottery, Dadiet in late first and Ajinca in 2nd round this year.
Traore is gaining momentum as a top 5 guy in 2025, and they have another couple of guys who could be first rounders in Essengue and Bal.

That's 15 potential top 46 NBA draft picks in four years.That's easily the most represented country besides the US.

They had 5 total guys in that range in the 2018-2021 drafts. So they must have upped their developmental game.

I like both of these guys. Ryan Dunn, while not a scorer, averaged 10 pts and 9 rebounds. Decent numbers. Then, factor in he also averaged 3 blocks (!) and 1.7 steals. That's impressive. He has good size and 7' 1.5" wingspan.

Sheldon at Utility Sports dropped his final mock. Seems like a good, realistic mock to me. Has us trading down with San Antonio for 36 and 48. We take Ajay Mitchell at 36, which is pretty good value. I like him. Has us taking Quinten Post at 48, which is also a useful fit for us. Then he has us taking Cam Spencer at 55. Don't like that pick. Good college player, but in my eyes, lacks the requisite athleticism to be successful in the NBA. I'd have taken an upside swing on AJ Johnson with that last pick (who he still had on the board).

All in all, this seems like a good and realistic outcome for us (except for the Spencer pick).

Man, i don't know what to make of this. I like Mogbo a lot recently - was wondering if he'd be worth 30. Much less 5!
Want no part of Edey and he has him #1.

Zach Edey

When Zach Edey stepped on Purdue’s campus as a freshman, he was a relative unknown. When he left Purdue as a senior, he was only the sixth two-time national player of the year ever.

Edey’s sheer size (7-foot-4 height, 7-10 wingspan) and ability to control the paint on both ends – interior scoring with a soft touch offensively, rim protection defensively and rebounding on both ends – makes him a compelling prospect for many teams.

Everybody knows the name, but not everybody knows the game of 19-year-old Bronny James.
James appeared in 25 games for the Trojans, averaging 4.8 pts, 2.8 reb, 2.1 ast and 0.8 stl in just over 19 minutes per game.
His defensive quickness and instincts stood out at USC and his shooting impressed a captive audience at last month’s NBA Combine. The foundation of a 3-and-D NBA player is there, although his game may require time to develop.

Kyle Filipowski
Position: PF/C | Height: 6-11 | Age: 20 (Sophomore) | School: Duke
Projection: 28th by B/R's Wasserman
While Edey is a traditional in-the-paint center, Filipowski brings a more versatile skillset along with his near 7-foot frame.
Projected as a late first round pick, Filipowski brings shooting range (34.8% 3-point shooting), an improving post-up game (shooting 51.9% on 104 attempts per Synergy), passing ability (18.4% assist rate) and defensive versatility (1.5 blocks, 1.1 steals per game) to the table.
Playing two seasons at Duke, Filipowski brings 72 games of collegiate experience to help quicken the transition to the pros as a stretch big.

8 more players who impressed at the Combine...

Baylor Schierman (Creighton): The 6-foot-7 guard was 11-for-18 through two games and averaged 13 points, all of which were quality looks

Nikola Djurisic (Serbia): The 6-foot-8 player is highly effective off the pick and roll as both a passer and a scorer from all three levels. Djurisic scored 16 points in 20 minutes in his final scrimmage

Boogie Ellis (USC): Ellis impressed with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists in 18 minutes during Tuesday's scrimmage. The 6-foot guard is explosive off the bounce and can get to the rim consistently

KJ Simpson (Colorado): Simpson, similar to Ellis, plays bigger than his size. The 6-footer averaged 13.5 points, showcasing his knack for finishing above bigger defenders and rebounded capably

Oso Ighodaro (Marquette): At 6-foot-9 with a strong frame, he can defend multiple positions and rebound. The 21-year-old showed his ability to set solid screens and switch onto smaller players

Coleman Hawkins (Illinois): A quintessential pick-and-pop forward at 6-foot-10, Hawkins displayed robust offensive skills and finished with 17 points (on 6-for-7 shooting) in his final scrimmage

Adem Bona (UCLA): Bona’s athleticism and imposing physique stood out. The 21-year-old Nigerian manned the dunker spot effectively, finishing at the rim and protecting the basket on defense

Jamal Shead (Houston): He measured just 6 feet tall at the Combine, but Shead stood tall all week. Using his stout frame and scrappy demeanor, Shead averaged 14 points and five assists

How much different is Bona than our Queta?? Maybe a bit more of a burst. Slightly shorter.. Both talented but very Raw. Seems redundant to me.
