The Magic being interested in KCP is interesting. Never thought they'd be a team making win-now moves.

Hardaway Jr is another guy it looks like you can get paid to take. He checks some boxes and doesn't cost a ton, if you can get a first out of the deal could be worth it.

Instant offense off the bench. I've been wanting Hardaway here for a long time now. He may be past his prime, but he can still score. Yeah...If Dallas compensated US for taking him, then why not?

And if DDR says no, offer 16 for Cam

Just looked it up and Dallas has very little in the way of picks available.
Looks like the best they could currently do would be THJ, 25 1st, and 26 swap rights for 16. I'm not sure about that, probably pass. Or I suppose they could do a 2031 with some minimal protections instead if that floats your boat?

Yea, he looked bad. Also, no way Dallas is giving us any of what little picks they have to take him (looks like this is the last year of his deal and he’s only counting 16M against the cap).

Is it weird that (1) PG hasn’t signed a deal with the clippers yet; (2) OG hasn’t signed with the Knicks; and (3) we haven’t made a trade, such as one for Ingram. We probably leaked that thing about not being interested in PG anymore because he isn’t going to sign here, but maybe we are waiting until draft night to do any major trades. I wouldn’t want like Cleveland to swoop in and take Ingram by giving Garland or something. Maybe if we haven’t done a trade yet, it means that we do think one of these free agents will actually come here.

I imagine OG is going to wait like Maxey to be resigned so they can maximize their cap space if they trade Julius.

It certainly looked that way. Like I said, he's past his prime...I remember when his dad was in his prime...This just reinforces that I'm old.

Not that weird in reality, PG wants a max and the Clippers don't want to give him one because that means getting a better contract than Kawhi. PG wants a max because is probably his last chance at one.
The Clippers are not gonna let him walk either because they need a good team next season now that they are getting a stadium.
AI_Efficiency wrote: OG hasn’t signed with the Knicks
Not that weird either, OG thinks he can flex them out of a Brunson type of deal or something close to a max and the Knicks probably don't want to commit to their team as it is, as they probably think they need another piece.
Basically, he's just not signing as a bargaining tactic, which is fine.
AI_Efficiency wrote:we haven’t made a trade, such as one for Ingram.
We would have more picks to trade on draft night so nothing is happening until then.

Would much rather keep Buddy than trade for THJ.

#16 and the LAC 1st for Ingram? No way.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
Mike Scotto said despite Shams' report, the Sixers still really want PG.
He also said if not him, trading for Butler or signing Anunoby are their next preferred options they could pivot to.
Said Anunoby is expected to get minimum of 35m per season.

Not sure Mike Scotto is a reliable source though...

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 2
i am okay with any of those moves honestly
its more so about what Morey does to fill out the rest of the roster imo
PG is the best "fit". Jimmy is the best playoff player. OG is the best longterm option. None of them solves all of the issues. All of them will give us more than Tobias tho. So it "fixes" that one thing.

Agreed with this.
I still don't know why Mikal/Lauri isn't brought up though. Given thme godfather offer of all our picks, Melton/Reed. There might be 2-3 teams that can compete with that, but you never know. It has to be discussed, as those two would allow us to sign a bunch of good role player, where with this you lose out on a lot of capscape to be able to sign decent or good role guys.
