The Athletic is reporting Olise to Bayern. An absolute coup if they get him.
It's time for 5 refs.

Could also indicate that Sané becomes available.

Can someone explain what's going on with these Chelsea/Villa/Everton/Newcastle PSR creative accounting transfers? This doesn't seem like a long-term solution and feels a bit like the Premier League is eating itself like an ouroboros snake at this point.

Inter seems to be demanding 70 mil.
Way too much for a 30 y/o.
Don’t think it will happen.

That said, they gloriously overpaid for Kane last year. So hopefully they are going to do it again.

that's ridiculous, you can probably count the number of 30-year-old players who would be worth that on one hand

I'm certainly not fully acrsoss it , but seems they are happy to help each other out with signing of Academy players they like, which helps as pure profit. That's my basic understanding

Villa sign Maatsen for 37.5, but that's amortised over the 5 years to be roughly 7.5 mil onto the books per year.

Whereas selling Kellyman for 19 mil out of the academy, is 19 mil straight as a sale.

Same with the essentially player swap in Lewis Dobbin in from Everton and Timmy Iroebugnam to Everton. Sale figure goes into books complete, but buy figure is broken up over the length of the players contract, up to 5 years
Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team

Is Can Keleş any good?
There is a rumor we are going to sign him. Not sure how reliable that is.
Scorers look ok, some nice goals on youtube but team got relegated.

I don't follow Süper Lig at all.

I'd be lying if I followed his club a lot, very few people do, but I remember he had good performances against Fenerbahçe in both games but average against Gala. So he had 2 good performances in only 4 games he could play against a quality opponent in the Super Lig.

Also, it is not easy to get attacking stats in Super Lig with the way defenders chop you down.

Help each other explore the loopholes in the system to work around ffp rules.
It's **** and there'll be absolutely no consequenses at all for these frauds.

Benefits of maintaining good relations with clubs, with the current rules anytime can do this and should be doing this.

This isn’t a new thing as well, we’ve seen Liverpool sell players like Brewster for 20 mill, Ibe for similar, Lavia and Bazunu from City went for decent fees despite barely making appearances.

Lewis Dobbin and Iroegbunam are going for 9mill each which is not a lot on paper but mostly pure profit for PSR/FFP (this benefits Everton more so as we bought Iroegbunam from West Brom’s academy).

It’s viewed as cheating but is it really(not specific to you Baph)? The current rules are beneficial to Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and City imo. Those clubs had the luxury of building up teams and spending money before some of these rules came into effect, so what happens if let’s say Bournemouth want to show ambition and get into the top 6? They are likely going to have to sell their best players or best academy players to do so. Villas owner has an article already criticising the rules saying it’s made it more of a closed shop.

The rules are **** and have been **** for a while, we wanted the threshold raised for everyone at the last AGM and it got rejected. So in turn we are now doing this form of creative accounting, it’s been made into a bigger deal than it is. No one is stopping other clubs from doing so but I think other clubs can’t because they have a long history of shafting clubs

I think there's a clear difference between a club selling a coveted academy player and teams essentially swapping academy players to meet PSR rules.

Regardless we were meeting PSR with Douglas Luiz sale, Kellyman was also highly rated from the ages of 15.

My overall point is Everton swapping Dobbing for Iroegbunam and Chelsea buying Kellyman is not that alarming in comparison to other deals which have been overlooked. Chukwuemeka left us for a similar fee last year and nobody batted an eyelid, Aaron Ramsey was signed for similar and nobody batted an eyelid.

If you go google the going rate for good academy players in the UK it’s not really any different. Hence why I mentioned Brewster, Ibe, Lavia and Bazunu. You can even throw Solanke in there when he initially moved.

As I said the current rules are **** but the system currently rewards you for selling academy players rather than keeping them.

Dortmund continuing with the „buy a good player for two years who will decline afterwards“ strategy instead of building a team that can stick together for a longer period

Spurs sign Archie Gray from Leeds for approximately £30m.

Absolutely love this deal, kid is a hell of a talent.

Joao Palhinha to Bayern fix according to German media. But it was "fix" last summer as well.

Now that Tuchel is gone they are getting all the players he wanted.

Zirkzee likely headed to Man U for around 60m Euro. Hope United don't ruin him, he was my favorite player to watch last season

Varane may be headed to play for Fabregas at newly promoted Como

Apparently 42.5 million. Bayern gets half of the transfer fee.

Onana is completing a move to join Villa. Huge signing for us, fills a huge need. Next steps are to get another forward and a RB.
