Virginia F Ryan Dunn has excelled in workouts and may have played his way out of the Knicks' range, according to multiple reports

Dunn is "gaining steam" to get drafted in the early 20s after "a slew of outstanding workouts" this month, per ESPN's @DraftExpress
.

ESPN has Dunn going at No. 22 to Phoenix in today's mock draft.

Several teams have said Dunn "exceeded expectations with his shooting while also doing some absolutely mesmerizing things defensively in guarding point guards through centers in group settings."

HoopsHype's @MikeAScotto
reported today that "some in New York believe Dunn will be off the board" when the Knicks are on the clock at No. 24.

Knicks never get their guy in the draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This honestly is not a huge loss... Dunn may be a stellar defender but he's horrific on the offensive end.

Extend IHart, OG, and Thibs…

Do the PG13 trade with Mitch, McBride, Bogs and picks.

Contend for 2-3 years with this squad. Maybe win one.

It’s worth a shot because it wouldn’t take too many picks so we could keep pivoting later.

Im 100% with it

Brunson
PG13
OG
Randle
Ihart

With Donte/Hart as 6th/7th man. We need a big and we are def contending. That starting 5 can do damage !!

The length would be ideal as well.

PG13 & OG both 6"7/6"8
Randle 6"10
Ihart 7"0

Yea, we are causing problems for other teams.

PG13/OG/Randle/Hart/Donte can easily solidified the 2/3/4 rotation.

We need a backup PG and C

PG13 at 34-35-36 the next three years gives us three legit cracks at the title. Sure, we’d be in cap he’ll very quickly but we’d have our best chance at a title in forever for 3 full seasons, at least. You gotta roll the dice because the risk isn’t like the risks the Nets took over and over again.

This is what Leon has been building towards. That team, if the chemistry and coaching is right, can absolutely beat anyone. One title is all I ask for. Just one in my lifetime.

He’s the only guy in our range that realistic has to chance who fits the modern nba wing size and Thibs mentality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He has the chance to give us something immediately(defensively) and has the potential to be even better down the if he improves offensively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched him quite a bit @ Uva... he's not a better defender than Trey was. And again, is not close to the shooter/scorer Trey was @ Uva. Dunn gambles more and is a great help defender but hus handle needs work as well. This is a weak draft, so I can see him climbing. The way Thibs loves rookies, do you really think he'd make an immediate impact?

That **** is elite. Rarely do you even watch a defensive hl reel where not a single play is remotely a foul either.

Watch the hl at 2:18

Closes out to the 3pt line and not the shooter

Giving himself time to recover on the pumpfake and defend the drive.

I see that he's improved his 3 point shooting. But 5 teams in 8 years. We'd be the 6th.

Why do you think that is?

Trade 24 and 25 and get to 16-18 and draft this kid. Defense wins championships
