W/ all these trades of bigs for bigs, even in 3-way trades, I've never gotten why all these teams wouldn't keep the younger, arguably better options, or the other team trade for them instead.

If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't. You shouldn't be wholly satisfied after you make a trade, unless you're dealing w/ the Bucks under Kohl or Lasry, & them or their right-hand men got fixated on studs like Greivis Vazquez.

For any/all who will be disappointed if we don't make any movies soon, the Dame trade happened on October 12. Jrue wasn't acquired until late November. I don't anticipate any huge moves like those but not all deals are done in early July.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

They were discussing on one of the podcasts I listened to today (can’t remember if it was Vecenie or Russilo but it was one of them) about whether or not OKC should trade #12 for Brook Lopez. They ultimately said no.

To be fair, the Jrue trade was right before or right after the NBA Draft. That was just one of the weird offseason schedules.

Still believe that Vivek is once again one of the weak sisters, and want Horst to do his version of the Marques Johnson and friends for Terry Cummings and friends re-load deal.

Make all four of these guys available (Bobby, Khris, Brook, Pat) and both picks. See if we can get a haul back.

I don't think there's much value in the 13th pick this yr. It's a bad range. You should probably take a guy you could have gotten at 23. But I guess it shows the Kings are open for business & as I've said they have some players of interest.

We still need a smaller ball big option we could trust down the stretch of games next yr. Would Philly do Paul Reed for Pat + 33/another high 2nd we picked up in another trade? Though Philly may just want to waive Reed, cuz apparently his deal was contingently ng'ed & they could use space for FA's. In which case we could sell Reed on a bigger role here in a prove it deal.

On paper that deal looks great. I'm not convinced Timelord can ever play more than 40 games a year. Then again, I'd like a Portland deal more if Brogdon were part of the return (and his injury issues).

But does Portland really need any of our guys? Feels like a 3rd team needed.

There's still plenty of dumb teams to deal with. The Grizzlies gave up 2- 1sts for Marcus Smart last year. Basically gave the Celtics the championship.

Bucks in: Steven Adams, Tari Eason, DeAndre Hunter, #44 (via Houston)
Bucks out: Brook, Bobby, Pat (#33)

Houston in: Brook, #33
Houston out: Adams, Eason, #44

Atlanta in: Bobby, Pat
Atlanta out: Hunter

Could also break this into two separate deals if necessary. Bucks keep a big body to protect Giannis and pickup some switchable wings. Rockets get the big man they've been looking for. Hawks get to dump some long-term money.

Dame/Monte Morris or Dennis Smith or Delon Wright or PatBev
Andre/Green/Beau
Midds/Hunter/Beau
Giannis/Eason
Adams/#23 (hopefully Ware)

Could also run out a small-ball death lineup of Dame, Hunter, Midds, Eason and Giannis. Hell, maybe go big with the starting lineup and insert Hunter at the 2.

I don’t think we are good trade partners.

POR wants FRP.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but desperate times, etc…

I’m checking in on Lonzo.

If he’s healthy enough by the time the regular season is winding down he could be an ideal 5th starter if he buys into the role. Defender/facilitator/spot up guy. Can’t think of a better boom/bust guy for us. On a one year deal I don’t see the harm (obviously pending you get a good look at his medicals).

I've been a pretty big proponent of the "buy low on a distressed asset" idea, but Lonzo? Robert Williams? Isaac? These dudes still have to be able to physically suit up for games. Those guys can't.

I agree but that’s a big if with the medicals

There are videos of Lonzo dunking again, but I don't trust it. Those big baller brand shoes gave him 65-year-old knees.
