He is credible.

It has been Woj, Shams, and Jake Fischer when it comes to breaking news around the nba, while the other reporters just "confirm".

Jake started the whole "OG unhappy with offensive role in Toronto" BS after a Nurse quote. Long story short, OG was never unhappy and him testing free agency had nothing to do with his offensive role. There's been other exaggerations he threw out there over the years, but this is the one obviously had me pay more attention to.

They could probably announce a deal in principle before that but it wouldn’t be official until June 30. At least that’s what they usually have done

Randle for PG? Wtf? No. The idea is to add him next to Randle, not trade Randle for him.

Randle has to break his damn shoulder off the hinges and get surgery on an ankle he jacked up multiple times to be out. But PG misses like half of the season almost every year… dude is made of glass. Can’t rely on that as a #2.

Sounds like a pipe dream and speculation based on the various rumors. Would have to include multiple 1st rounds going out from NYK I would imagine. Would be worth it.

There’s no legitimate rumors right now. Nothing with legs, I think we make a real run at PG. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a trade tomorrow.

Trading a huge salary like Randle's could work in a lot of scenarios. We just can't add more salary AND keep a huge contract like Randle's without penalty.

However, a lot of posters appear married to the idea that Julius MUST stay on this team -- but it's his salary that would be needed to make a significant improvement to the team under the new rules (assuming we keep OG, iHart, and Brunson).

I think fans should prepare themselves for the possibility that Julius may need to go in order to land a "star" or player(s) who can move the needle and take us to the next level. Salary cap-wise, we can't have it all.
