What is the logic behind that for someone who watched the Kings last year?
Kings were better with Len on the floor than Sabonis on it last year, so backup center is not really a concern area unless they can't resign Len. Kings' bench was the main bright spot down the stretch of the season. The issue is finding that star power in the starting lineup and/or more defensive-minded, athletic forwards alongside Sabonis.
Len should be back for sure. My hope is that the Kings can find a start PF that can also play backup 5 so it puts Len to 3rd string and there in case of injury.
Not an easy position to find though.
