Kings/Wizards
Kings are close to being a competitive team, perennial playoff team.
Wizards are still rebuilding.
Kings trade Mitchell, Lyles, #13
Wizards trade Kuzma
Kings get a solid PF on a declining deal. Kings move out 2 bench players and a late lottery pick.
Wizards get 2 players on expiring, cheap contracts. A chance to see if Mitchell can be a serviceable backup if they keep Jones. More importantly, they get another pick, able to get a position of need - da Silva, Carter, Carrington, Kolek. Or if they take Sarr and see him as a PF, they could go for Ware, Missi, Edey.

This doesn't work salary wise, does it?

Multiple versions of this has been discussed. Hell I think even the two teams are about to agree on something. It just needs to happen lol.

Re: Kings/Wizards
There have been a ton of Kuzma to Sacramento rumors. The basic framework of the trade is #13 and filler for Kuzma. The questions are: what is the filler and do the Wizards also need to include the #26?
We've discussed these variations on the trade board for weeks now. There is no consensus because Kuzma is a pretty polarizing player. There really isn't much else to be said on the matter. A trade may or may not happen, and it will depend on what the management of Washington and Sacramento feel about the value of Kuzma.

Yeah, quite a bit short even if Kuzma waives his trade kicker. If he doesn’t waive his trade kicker, hen Sacramento needs to add a couple solid salaries.

I hate Kuzma. I hope the Kings never trade for him. Even if it was just garbage contracts. I hate Kuzma and I hate his empty Stat game.

So you're saying you like the trade for both teams?

If I'm not mistaken (I might be), if the Kings trade #13, it will have to be drafted, signed to a deal, then traded, correct? Would this mean that the rookie's salary then factors into the deal?

Not in the slightest. I'd rather have a punch in the face than add Kuzma to our roster.

Has there been a trade propose where both Dan bases have been in an 100% agreement like this before while also having strong rumors from both FO’s for a year

The foundation of the deal would be Kuzma and 26 for (probably) Huerter, filler that has value

Sorry it froze when I was posting and couldn’t get the rest on that post. Won’t edit.
The last part should say “filler that has value and 13.
Don’t forget the Kings need to kill off some salary to get below the tax level to utilize the big MLE.

Re: Kings/Wizards
The Bridges trade changes things for me. I agree to a crux of a deal sending Kuzma to Sacramento, but I'm not trading 26. It's 13, salary filler and a future first round pick. I'm not expecting a Bridges-like haul, but I'm asking for two first round picks...at least.

Re: Kings/Wizards
AGain, as I've said with every iteration of these Kuzma deals I have posted, the Wiz should be willing to trade Kuzma. It opens up their forward slots to give Coulibaly the minutes next to Avdija and Kispert and gives more shots to see whether Avdija is a legit option. Also, I would like to see Kuzma on a winner, he's almost 30 and Washington is still a couple of years away even if they do everything right. I'd deal him for the best offer to whoever makes it.
So, talk to everyone and if Sacramento kicks up the most, take it. OP might be the best offer, if so, good luck to the Kings and I hope he's does great there.

I think you're probably right, but it's futile to argue that here. Everyone hates Kuzma on the trade board. They look at his somewhat inefficient volume scoring totally out of context.
4 years ago, Kuzma was 5th in total minutes and 6th in total playoff minutes on a championship team.
3 years ago, Kuzma was 2nd in total minutes for a 48-win Lakers team (projection onto an 82-game season)
So he was basically the 5th guy on a champion, which likely means he was probably good enough to be the 4th best guy on a mid-tier playoff team.
In his 3 years in Washington, his usage climbed from 20.3% in his last year in LA, to 24.2%, to 27.9% to 29.7%. Despite taking on that massive increase in usage, his TS% remained exactly the same, going from .546 to .547 to .544 to .547. I think it's reasonable to argue that this had demonstrated a considerable offensive improvement. Jumping from 20% usage to 30% usage is a MASSIVE increase, and doing so without losing any efficiency means he has gotten much better at making more difficult shots against greater defensive attention.
So if you take that useful 4th man on a playoff team, factor 3 years of obvious improvement, I think it's reasonable to argue he is a legit 3rd starter on a playoff team, or at least a very good 4th starter. But guys dump on him because he is in over his head as the primary offensive threat on a bad team.
