Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
We had this last year, curious what people see this year.
I'm thinking,
22, 9 and 7, 1.5 and 1.5 on 49/36/80 splits.

Re: Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
I think his counting stats will be very similar to last year. Something around 20/8/6/1.5/1.5 is about what I'd expect. His rebound/block totals will depend a lot of how they use him defensively, if he's guarding closer to the rim, his totals will be higher than if he's chasing guards around the perimeter. But he always finds a way to fill the stat sheet, even on off nights.
Where I want to see improvement is from an efficiency standpoint. If he can get closer to a 60 TS%, that would be big for his potential long term.

Re: Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
Will Barnes, Quickley and RJ all average over 20PPG and the Raptors still have a losing record?
I want to see a more aggressive scorer in Barnes this season. Darko talked about developing a go-to move for him. I really hope he comes into this season with one. If so he should jump up to 22-23 PPG.
I have some slight hope that we make the play-in (not sure if that's a good thing, but i'm not ready for another losing season).

It's just so hard to gauge (again).
A full training camp, these guys playing together without real injuries or 'injuries'.
So much depends on the two picks, Trent, Brown and having some true depth.

Re: Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
20/8/6 last year
I don't expect a huge statistical leap, but efficiency should rise.
I will say 21/8/8. If he comes back with a true 3-ball I could see 23/8/8

Re: Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
It's actually going to be hard for him to improve on his counting stats much, except for maybe points. He's already in a very limited group of ~20/8/6/1/1 guys.
The next tier up is the elite of the elite -- guys like Doncic, Jokic, Giannis, Lebron who are walking triple doubles.

Re: Predict Scottie's Statline - 24/25 edition
24/8/6
FG: 48%, 3pt: 34%, FT: 79%
This probably isn't possible (or allowed on the board) but it would certainly make things more interesting if we all chipped in $5, and the winning pot goes to the person who is closest to the actual after season ends.

will come down to defense & health. we don't have a high octane offense like indy to counter defensive shortcomings enough to win a high # of games.

22/9/7/1.5/1.5
He probably gets his scoring up a bit but I think his counting stats stay roughly the same as last year. The biggest thing for me is an increase in efficiency. If he can do that then he'll have a greater impact on the game.

It's going to be hard but unless we make big time changes I don't see us being good enough defensively or offensively when we go to the bench.
This little tidbit from Eric Koreen in his Barnes piece yesterday just highlights how "good" we were when you strip out the outliers
If you throw out the Raptors’ 8-8 start, a period when they still had Pascal Siakam and Anunoby, and also scrap the entire month of March, when the team often played without much of its starting lineup and went 1-14, the Raptors were the equivalent of a 26-win team last year. In reality, they won 25. Internal development across the board will be necessary to improve on that.

Fair. I dont' think we're a 26 win team when you consider all the player movement, inconsistency etc.
If we end up being it, then I give a strong look at Darko again.
