I'm hearing it was a gambling issue, but the league wants to keep it on the DL.

He'll still probably be by the Rabba.

I liked the kid, but hopefully this means no more of these skinny PF/Cs. They get bullied in the NBA and the archetype has limited appeal unless they are automatic from three and have 7'5 wingspans.

Well he was pretty bouncy and has quick feet for a guy with his length. I really liked his hustle and attitude, but I presume that he didn't impress them much.
He's the prototypical big that needs to put in one hundred hours a week and prove his workmanlike mentality. I wish that there were more blue-collar, gritty bigs with athleticism. I actually saw some Stromile Swift in him, but obviously Masai knows better.

They must really like DJ Carton to have kept him all through his injury and still even now.

I really like the kid's upside. Even if he is older, he is very athletic and can defend and is a Marquette kid. He seems to be around all of these prospect workouts so he is active here.

I actually think it is worth thinking about his archetype for the draft and future two-way deals.

Carton
6'3 with a +3 wingspan
40 inch vertical type athlete
POA defender
Sub-35% from three

We worked out Eric Gaines and Reece Beekman and have interest in Bronny James. All of those guys are a jumper away from being dangerous back-ups.

I think as far as the high level prospects that could fit that mold, I would think Toronto could value Isaiah Collier highly.

He was mostly roster filler for 905 especially at his age. Realistically had near zero chance in NBA. Not unlike Nowell.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

My favorite memory related to him is when the kid at Raptors digest on yt tried to say his name and was like "Mohammed Gay" and panicked and said "sorry im just trying to read his name" :)

That's literally the way the name is pronounced guy. Noone thought anything of it.

Cancel culture has people shook lol.

Got a good laugh outta that last summer.

That's all i remember of him. Never caught much of his actual play outside of a very few Raptors minutes. No 905.

Hope he makes money in Europe.
