Daniel Theis will just sit on the bench if it's Embiid or Jokic.

Would be great if Queta could grow into that role. We should throw him into the fire a bit more this year.

Totally agree!

I think Queta can be like Gafford.

Interesting to see a mini Renaissance of the non stretch big. Zach Edey ftw. Hope he lands in Toronto

I think they have big plans for Queta.

I agree with this opinion. Don't think these trade restrictions will be around too long.

I think they should include a provision where the team that won the title should be exempted from paying their tax bill. If anything, the losers should pay the champs. They should start with whoever won this year.

Sam Hauser is worth a lot, I hope we can extend him this summer rather than pick up his cheap option and then risk losing him outright next summer.

Going forward, next five years, Sam Hauser has more value than Alex Caruso, I would say. It’s crazy how good Sam has become.

Now leaning towards signing him to whatever the amount is. Can unload the contract later on if tax becomes an issue with the owners.

Yeah, it hurts the teams under the aprons/tax lines too since it's so much harder to change. If the tax / draft pick penalties aren't enough they could/should just do a hard cap if they really want to stop teams from overspending.

From everything I've read we seem to be super lucky with timing in terms of 2nd apron. We are in a rare position where we don't need to make any big trades to get better, we already have the needed pieces. 2nd apron becomes a problem if you need huge rotational changes or aren't willing to pay.

Wyc and the ownership need to go all in on this window - I expect a Tatum max, White extension and a multi-year deal figured out with Hauser. Everything else is non-urgent imo, it's really important to let none of our key pieces hit free agency or we'll end up losing them and being handicapped in replacing them similarly to the Nuggets. Those guys are cooked if they lose KCP.

Makes sense I suppose because having Ingram miss a bunch of games every year and Williamson being completely unreliable isn't a great formula for winning.

Agreed. They’re too restrictive. You’re evening the playing field for teams who may not even care as much about winning and penalizing almost every true contender and medium to big market team that drives the league.

Knicks easily jump to the 2nd best team in the East in my opinion. Title contenders, especially if they keep OG.
