Just for reference, Shannon's 3 months older than MarJon.

Wonder what Marjon would’ve done in the big 10 last year. My guess is POTY runner up behind Edey.

This draft class is so full of undersized rim runners guards, their patheric 3p% triggers me the wrong way... So I rank up players who can actually shoot ... on the other hand there are alot of promising PF/Cs who are plug n play in modern NBA and can actually stick in the League, luckily we get one.

I don't really think there'd be a scenario where we kept 23 that I'd be super excited about. I'm like talking myself into Mogbo there and I hate it.

Givony and Lowe were talking about how a lot of teams at the end of the first round are trying to trade down into the second round for cap purposes and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we’re one of those teams. I know Phoenix has already been specifically mentioned as one of the teams trying to do it.

So my initial thoughts about the NBA draft being 2 days is dumb, but I get it, have another primetime time slot filled by NBA content like the NFL... that is until I found out round 2 takes place at 3 pm central time. wtf

Part of the reported rationale was that they wanted to give the 2nd rounders more shine. It's just hard to say in what way this doesn't do the opposite of that. If you want to give the 2nd rounders more visibility, make the time between 1st round picks shorter and have the commissioner do the whole draft, knock it all out during primetime. Don't take away the perfect lead-in and stick it in the afternoon when nobody's watching anything.

I'm assuming next year it'll be in primetime. When they announced this plan this year I don't think they expected a Presidential debate to be scheduled for the same night

I don't know, if I were a second round pick, I'd be pretty excited for all the people recovering from wisdom teeth extraction to watch my big moment.

Scheierman has a euro style to his game. Wouldn't hate the pick, but I do wonder how he'll move on defense. He's a bit slow moving side to side, but his offensive game is beautiful to watch.

Dude does so much stuff that doesn't show up in the stat sheet. Draft him or Dunn at 23, or move the pick. No other options would get me that excited unless McCain falls.

I'm pulling for Kel'el Ware at 23 and Tyler Smit at 33. It'd be nice to finally have some young big guys to learn from and grow alongside Giannis.

I haven't looked much at the guys who definitely shouldn't fall to #23, but here we go anyway:

01. Isaiah Reed Sheppard -- the highest BBIQ and the best shooter in the draft

---tier---

02. Alex Sarr -- fluid and athletic 7-footer who has shown flashes of ball-handling and shooting upside
03. Rob Dillingham -- can dribble and shoot so well he'll probably be a 20+ppg scorer someday
04. Isaiah Collier -- that USC team sucked otherwise everyone would have him top 5, great versatility and feel
05. Zach Edey -- nobody with college stats as good as his has ever been bad in the NBA
06. Jared McCain -- would be a perfect fit for the bucks as our starting 2
07. Cody Williams -- idk much tbh, but his stats and size look solid and his brother is really good lol

---tier---

08. Stephon Castle -- if he can learn to shoot he'll be great and should be up there with Reed, but I don't think he can
09. Devin Carter -- if he wasn't small and old he'd be up a tier
10. Kel'el Ware -- is 7'1" and moves better than "likely #1 pick" Risacher -- 'nuff said
11. Nikola Topic -- would be up a tier if not for the ACL injury -- would be up another if he didn't lie about his wingspan
12. Donovan Clingan -- His FT shooting is a big red flag as far as his potential goes -- should be a solid starter tho
13. Tidjane Salaun -- upside upside upside
14. Zaccharie Risacher -- floor floor floor
15. DaRon Holmes --- he's a bit of an awkward fit in the modern NBA, but he's pretty good at everything and I like that in a big

---tier---

16. Yves Missi -- can see him being better than Clingan in basically the same role -- has only been playing basketball for 3-4 years
17. Dalton Knecht -- old and can't defend, would be a nice Pat replacement tho tbh
18. Ja'Kobe Walter -- is he big enough to defend wings in the NBA? will be a nice player if he can
19. Tristan Da Silva -- if he was Risacher's age and in the french league he might go #1 -- great floor

---tier---

20. Ron Holland -- I don't really see it, MarJon looked better for the Ignite than Holland did, at least he's young tho
21. Terrance Shannon, Jr -- would Illinois have been better with MarJon than TSJ this year...? probably IMO, and MJB is younger
22. Matas Buzelis -- if he didn't average 1.9 blocks per game he wouldn't have made my top 30, but that's a lot of blocks for a wing
23. Ryan Dunn -- if he can shoot corner 3s at 35% he'll be the steal of the draft -- could also see him playing in Europe in 2 years tho
24. Kyshawn George -- weird player who had a bizarre college season, but there's something there with that shot and that size
25. Pacome Diatet -- upside swing, nowhere near ready for the NBA -- perfect draft & stash target tho
26. Tyler Smith -- a giant wing who can probably shoot -- will take at least a few years to develop, but has more upside than most
27. Adem Bona -- have you ever wondered what Thanasis would look like if he was big enough to play the 5? wonder no more
28. Melvin Ajinca -- good enough size and shooting with a bit of untapped shot-creating and defending upside
29. Antonio Reeves -- should be a solid scorer off of someone's bench, love his size and floater, hate that he's almost 24
30. Bub Carrington -- young and unpolished, but the framework of a 20ppg 5ast guy is there

---bonus tier---

31. Jamal Shead -- an ideal replacement for PatBev if he doesn't get brought back
32. Ulrich Comeche -- would give giannis the perfect mentoring project
33. N'Faly Dante -- his knees are made of glass, but he's going to be a solid NBA center right away if he's healthy

KOC released his final big board. Finally gave up on Castle as the #1 prospect and has Sheppard there instead.

Devin Carter up to #5. Holland up to #8. Risacher down to #9.

20-30: Collier, Kolek, Da Silva, Furphy, Scheierman, Dunn, Dadiet, Missi, Shannon, George, Djurisic.

I don’t remember for sure but Bona at 32 and Jaylen Wells at 39 feel like two guys he moved up in that range.

The guy I still remember weeks after looking at his highlights is Kolek. Seems like a hooper.
