Yeah, make the deal if you don't give a rat's arse about locker room chemistry. And Draymond has been talking a lot of sh*t about NY and the Knicks. I can't imagine real fans embracing him.

Draymond is still a heck of a defender/passer and has won 4 titles. He works with iHart and then next to Randle. The passing out of those three would be Knicks '69/71 esque.

Sure, the chemistry issue would have to be ironed out. Remember when Chicago brought Rodman in to help them get over the top. I would think Draymond wants to prove to the world that he was a big reason for those earlier championships and it wasn't just riding Curry's coattails.

I’m doing better this year just letting things happen instead of being here refreshing the page all day.

Just an idea to add some depth.

I like it. Hunter still has some upside and can learn a lot from OG. He’s also another tradable asset if we ever decide to move on from Randle and package them together.

I got killed 2 years ago for suggesting Clit Capela so you two should get it as well

If he gets 35-38m .. it's actually in line with Jrue Holiday. Jrue is older but OG is injury prone. Both are not perennial All-Stars, great defenders and no.3 or 4 on the team.

I think that's fair, I'm sure the hold up is the injury clause.

1) Trade Mitch on draft for an expiring and pick
2) Use the pick to draft a Center that will be groomed for the future
2) Resign OG and Hart
3) Wait until the trade deadline to trade Bojan and expiring player from Mitch trade with a few protected picks for a 20mil starter
4) Make our big trade next off-season by packaging Ihart and Randle for a Star big
5) Let the Rookie Center take over the starting gig next year( if he’s ready)

You are very optimistic about projecting the rookie center becoming the starting center in a contender team already in his second season. Even if you package all picks for a lottery pick, the rookie center will not be Cligan or Sarr.

In the next offseason. Randle will be a UFA and he would need to be signed and traded to land a star. Brunson will make nearly 40M (after getting his extension) and we can't get above the second apron if we are aggregating salaries.

Then we can cross off trading for a star by using Randle and Ihart. But would we be able to fit a 20 million type player by trading Bojan and Mitch? That would be 35million outgoing and 20 million incoming. Would shedding 15 million allow us to stay within the 2nd apron?

I really do not see why the players agreed to this in the collective bargaining agreement, might see a lock out next time around smh lol

Those penalties are nuts

We actually might see more bargain contracts this summer and beyond, outside of your typical max guys

This is why all that OKC is going to offer a bloated contract to ihart and OG is gonna command this that number is a bit overblown. You can’t just throw money around to your secondary players like you did in the past, dead are days of just paying the luxury tax and being capped out team with little to no repercussions. You make a deal that locks you in as a apron team, you are essentially saying this our team for the foreseeable future until contracts expire, or some team with cap space swoops in and bails you out.

If OG takes anything under 40m per, that's a bargain.

If we pay OG 38M, we will hit 177M with 9 players on the roster. We may not have enough cash to complete the roster with vet min players before hitting the second apron.

Brunson 25, Randle. 30, OG 38, Bojan 19; Hart 18, IHart 16,5, Donte 11,5, Mitch 14,3, Deuce 4,7 = 177M

Maybe, that is why they are trying to dump Mitch for a cheaper center.

Maybe the team currently constructed might be the best team we can build under the new CBA lol I see no harm running it back
