Nets Trying To Trade Into 2024 NBA Draft

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Tue Jun 25, 2024 12:46 pm

The Brooklyn Nets are the only team without a selection in the 2024 NBA Draft. That's something the Nets are trying to change.

Brooklyn has had discussions with teams holding picks in the 20s. There are teams in that range that are looking to move back or out of the first round entirely.

Phoenix (No. 22), New York (No. 25), Minnesota (No. 27), Utah (No. 29) and Boston (No. 30) are said to be considering trade option. All of those teams are open to moving up or down the draft board, depending on the offer.

Trading Bridges will get you into the 2024 draft.

Bridges is one of the best contracts in the NBA so you will get a whole lot more than that.. Brooklyn however think he is a superstar which is insane..

If the Nets were smart, they take advantage of trading Bridges and DFS for picks for this draft and the future as they owe four picks to the Rockets. This is not the time to play the delusional game that Bridges is the star when he's a solid tertiary player at best. I think the Nets will pull that card tomorrow night on Bridges and DFS.

The Rockets offered them back their picks and the GM said no.

I'm fully aware of the previous deal with the Rockets. I think the Nets turned it down as to having too much pride to admit they were wrong for how they traded Harden from the Rockets. They should've took the deal. They even turned down the Grizzlies offer for three future firsts for Bridges.
