Wow, I hadnt thought of that. Not just for this season, but the next few seasons. Those firsts could be amazing after the starting lineup breaks in 2-3 years time

Ya. I see this through the Jays lens. If Bridges is getting 5 first round picks then whenever the time comes to unload the Jays, we're gonna be golden.

That's about 7 years from now though.

Knicks need to add depth they cant keep running out 6 man lineups for like 100 games lol.

Still like our chances against them in a series they don’t have the scoring to matchup.

The biggest winner of this Net/Knicks trade is actually the Rockets.

Another Villanova guy?

Anyways I actually kind of love that trade for the Knicks.

I know they gave up a lot of picks, but I think Mikal Bridges is a great get for them, a perfect fit, a winning player who is better than he gets credit for. Cost controlled for now and in his prime.

I'm curious to see what they do with Randle.

Let’s be honest, Knicks just got significantly better with mikal on both ends. They got deep in the wings. Only problem would be, they got too loaded in the wings. Hart, OG and mikal play the same position. Unless they play small ball, and one of the 3 play the 4. In that case they would be very small. They probably would trade one of them. Still, a very good problem to have.

Now, the Nets should be caving for Cooper. Then again, maybe Houston already owns that, in which case, never mind.

Edit: yeah, Houston has pick swap rights to Bkn's pick next year.

Edit 2: The tank is back on. The Nets just got their 25 pick back from Houston. Bkn now has a couple more guys they'll look to off load now to do a proper tank.

Houston traded those rights back to Brooklyn so Nets can tank for Cooper

The Rockets are playing 4D chess. Used the nets own picks to leverage access to the suns picks. Now they intend to use the suns picks to leverage at deal with them if they intend to rebuild.

Insane haul for Nets. Also, as someone else mentioned, well, I don't actually know how many of Brooklyn's picks Houston has, but this is good for them, too.

Houston just traded all the net picks back to them for the suns picks, except #3 this year

Edit: I think Houston kept 2027 maybe

Knicks going all in, sacrificing the future to become contenders now. That was a lot to give for Bridges tho. Thing is, if they end up losing Anunoby for nothing, what just happened would amount to trading Anunoby for Bridges, then flushing a truckload of picks down the toilet. Hartenstein is also not guaranteed to resign.

Having said that, they may not be done. They still have about $40M in tradeable salary (Randle and Robinson) so they may be onto something.
