WOW…Pistons fire head coach Williams after one season…still owe him $65 MILLION for nothing.

Maybe they don’t offer Miles a mega contract after all.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Real Talk... this is the free agent marketplace right now.

Names worth 25+ million.
PG13, Klay, Demar, OG, KCP, Miles, Hartenstein, Claxton

(excluded LeBron, Harden, Quickley as they are expected to resign 90%+).

Names worth more than MLE potentially.
DLo, Tobias, Melton, Okoro, Toppin, Pat Williams, Cp3, Kyle Anderson, Fontechio, Gary Trent, Markelle Fultz, Caleb Martin.

Hopefully he's been watching a lot of Djurisic (who I don't imagine will last to #42)

EDIT: Weird - he's actually mocked to us here: https://www.nba.com/news/bleacher-report-full-2-round-mock-draft-with-1-week-to-go

who I would consider in order:
Yes please: OG, Melton,
Yeah ok, hope price was good: Miles, Trent, Williams

the others are meh to me and I think OG is staying in New York

Meanwhile the Knicks traded 5 1st Rd picks for Mikal Bridges.

That's a overpay.

You're not kidding. I blame Ainge for starting this trend of mortgaging all future picks for a player.

does this make OG available???

I would think so.

Talk about the perfect compliment to Melo and Miller.

If the Knicks are moving anyone it's going to be Randle. If we're moving on from Miles and he could be had for cheap I'd go for it.

If you feel like you're one player away from a title it's not a bad trade. It's title or bust for them in the next several years. If they retain OG they can win it all.

Brunson
Hart
Bridges
OG
Hartenstein

With DDV, whoever they move for Randle and Robinson, and their 2 picks this year is a damn formidable team. A lot of tough SOBs. Best Knicks team since I was a kid watching them in the early 90's with Ewing.

If we're ever going to get to that level we need to start stacking talent, not letting them walk.

Edit: I'd also like to add that not a single one of those players was drafted by the Knicks. They stocked the cupboard with guys they drafted and future picks, but they weren't afraid to move them for better fitting players. We need to have the same mentality as an organization. You can't just rely on the draft to build a team.

I've underestimated that Knicks team, but I still feel that team only goes as far as Brunson can take them.

All others feel like good to great role players.

So this would be why Knicks are interested in trading for Richards, a cheap backup

Go ahead and forget about Cooper Flagg he is guaranteed to be in Brooklyn.

No way the NBA lets Brooklyn go without a big name piece to build around. They are loaded with picks and they will have Flagg to sell the future. The NBA is rigged we all know it.

I think NYK relies on Brunson if that's the team as much as the Bucks would rely on Giannis. With Thibs as your coach that's scary. It's really one dynamic scorer and a bunch of role players. If Brunson goes down the Knicks are cooked.

Maybe Paul George goes there.

I agree that the Knicks will have to rely on Brunson for offensive creation way too much, and that will hurt them in the playoffs. But man their defense is going to be ridiculous.
