After a Raptors Suns game in 2023, before the deadline, I took note of how warmly OG and Mikal greeted each other. Seemed like good friends. I was imagining Mikal was joking with him about coming to PHX since trade rumors were swirling around OG that year.

The chemistry will be great this year, gotta get OG signed.

Is that a given for salary cap room? No way to keep everyone? After all it's a swap of Bojan for Bridges, salary matches right?

also have to think towards the future. with that amount of assets traded, mikal wont be for cheap for his next contract

ihart wants a long contract

randle is randle; he wont sign for cheap or short contract either

oh, there is also OG to think about as well

Not at all. Knicks can and likely will keep everyone and simply be an apron team going forward. The main issue to avoiding the apron was trade limitations. We just made our big trade and now can resign OG/Ihart and potentially extend randle and brunson.

This is the core moving forward. Maybe some smaller moves coming up. Mitch trade? Tax payer MLE signing? Resign precious etc

I like it. One positive of losing Ihart is it gives us room to use the full MLE (I think)

Now we are talking!

7'2 paint protection is what you need. With OG/Bridges on the wing Brunson running the show.

If you want the Dallas future 1st we could be talked into that.

We should extend everyone… IHart, OG, Randle and Brunson and Thibs. Keep it together for 5+ years. Dolan is ready to pay the tax.

Knicks kept Thursday's picks... What's the next move?

Draft two maybe even 3 NBA ready roleplayers, who look like they can contribute because the Knicks are locking into the core of this team for the next 3-5 years minimum. Basically they are going to function as the Knicks deep bench for that period of time.

That makes sense and could be effective. I'm also relieved Deuce is still with us. Rokas Jokubaitis time is now or forever hold your peace. Resigning OG is the top priority and Hartenstein became the elephant in the room with the most recent headlines. Trade up for a plug and play center if it becomes necessary.
